I hate to say it but they need to follow GRDA at Grand and make all coves no wake starting at the mouth of each cove. This would help tremendously. Only problem is main lake docks would get pummeled.

I couldn't help it. " I was only below the hard deck for a few seconds I saw the shot and I took it". Top Gun fans will appreciate that quote.

Good stuff right there. That should eliminate a lot of water for fisherman. I wish that striper kill would happen at Beaver?

Had another good day today. Still concentrating on drop shot. I did catch one good K on a jig. Fish from 7am-2pm. Bite was good early, slow mid-day and better when the wind picked up after noon. Once again I caught the majority by 76 bridge. Got bites around all 3 pilings, but northern most was the best again today. Zoom finesse worm in Plum and Watermelon Candy. Caught right around 20 fish. Best five prolly went 8-9lbs. Man I love drop-shotting now.

Someone might correct me but I would think they would be on vertical stuff. With this hot weather fish should set up somewhere next to deep water. They can go up to feed or down quickly without having to travel as far.

I hear ya Champ. I was commenting on Abkeenan's post. He mentioned the last few years. I should have used his quote. I commented just after him on the timeline. I didn't fish TR this past season so I have absolutely no input on the matter.

Find any small pockets off of the main lake area. I have a lot of luck with Zoom Mag I I worms black in color. They work good Texas rigged or on a shakey head. Black spinnerbait with big Colorado blades can catch some big ones. They will be focusing on noise and vibration. When I night fish with worm I peg a 3/8 oz tungsten weight and keep my rod tip down and drag it on the bottom keeping constant contact. If they are around it they will hear it. You can use black jig too. The fish will usually bite the worm or the jig better sometimes. Try both, the fish will let u know which one they prefer.

Put in at Cape Fair Marina around 6am. Ran up toward Bears Den Hollow. Fished around the 3 points there. Caught a few on the jig early. Pretty shallow in the flooded brush on the point closest to the bridge. Went across to the sharpest point and was sitting in about 25ft throwing a jig to the right side of the point. I hooked a big one. At least 4.5lbs. Lost it when I was being lazy and tried to swing it in the boat. Yikes. Didn't get another bite there so we move to the 76 bridge. Got s few bites but no fish. Left there went to the next point on the right and decided to try a drop shot. After that switch I caught a bunch of fish. Early in the day they were 10-15ft. Later in the day they were 15-20. Messed around here and there til about 1pm and went back to the bridge and it was on. I caught around 20 fish on the northern most bridge piling all on drop shot. They were suspended around 20 ft and almost always hit on the initial fall. If not I would raise it up to about 20ft and wiggle it and get a bite. Sonar would light up with streaks and I was able to drop in on them and get bit. Several bites were right on the piling itself. Just threw at the piling and let it hit the concrete and let it drop strait down. It did not matter what color of worm on drop shot. I tried Plum,Aaron's Magic and Morning Dawn. Got off the water around 2:30. My buddy and I caught around 40fish (mostly Kentuckies) and our best 5 prolly would have been 10lbs. Not great size but I learned a lot about drop shotting today. I had a great time.

Yep Champ. Can't fix stupid. I'm sure their sack would have suffered if they didn't get to their spots 1 minute earlier.
