Tall bucket
MOPanfisher replied to MOPanfisher's topic in Tips & Tricks, Boat Help and Product Review
Heck no. It's just to sit in and carry a bit of tackle. Depending on where in my 21 days on then 7 days off of chemo pills I am not too bad or wobbly as a blind, drunk guy with a prosthetic leg, so parking my butt in a bucket keeps me from making a splash into the cold cold water. However with a trash bag in it, certainly could be pressed into service as a pooper. -

Nice, but that thing would never roll where I fish. Got a source for some 7 gal buckets now. But had to make one just to see. Besides I might use it tonight! -

Would be great and I have one of those on my porch. Just don't want to carry it a long ways. -
Well.for those who are taller and have days when you have to set to fish due to balance or whatever. I was wanting a taller bucket, yeah you can buy a 7 gallon on but shipping is almost as bad as buying the bucket, or if you know someone who has access to them (I do) you can get one for free. But where is the excitement in that, besides by now I was intrigued. So I cut the top off of an old bucket, squirted a lot of silicone sealant on the couple inches I left on the top part. Replaced the handle with a lengthbof rope threaded through a piece of pex pipe (which was actually the hardest part. Shot some paint onto it because why not and VIOLA a tall bucket. Once I get a 7 gallon with lid from a buddy this will become a loaner. Note to self all my buckets are old and brittle.

AWESOME!

Grilled on the Blackstone would be my preference.

Sometimes Precision Small Engine in Bolivar will have one, or one that can be easily made running. There is no telling what Scott Salvage might have.

I am the kind of guy who would drive them crazy. With all daybto do it and nothing better I would have their phones burning up. I downloaded Life 360 I think it was and have my wife, daughter and son on it so they can track me in case I don't come back from a walk about. However as my wife says it only works if you take your blankety blank phone with you. Might have been an incident where I left without it and ended up taking a nap in the grass when I gave out for about 15 minutes. May still have scars from that butt chewing.

Never would have thought about blue cays being invasive, just goes to show that with the right conditions any species can become a problem.

My kind of guy!

I am gonna say it is a bad idea as well, however as a connoisseur of bad ideas I would recommend a good tripod and stick to shooting squirrels with a .22. If you made 4 out of six shots one armed you would do just fine.

Shooting any Shotgun one handed is a bad idea. If you can somehow get it up to your shoulder trying to accurately shoot it is gonna be tough. I went through a shoulder replacement and swapped to a 20 gauge but still feel the kick against the metal parts. Type of Shotgun would also make a difference, soft shooting gas operated is better.

Probably ly a group therapy would go bad for me at least. Someone would show some lure that I don't own, have never used and likely never will but because they once had a stellar day with a plaid jitterbug I would have to find one and own it. Sort of the reason I have an entire box of NED stuff. Oddly it wasn't nearly as useful as I thought it would be since I don't bass fish. Someday I will go bass fishing with someone and by golly I will be ready, assuming I don't forget that box!

Maybe that's my problem I don't want to stop or be cured. I like being a tackle Ho. The bad part is that whatever it is I don't have with me at the time I need/wanted it I KNOW I have multiple if them in one if them dang boxes. But to be fair I do some if the same thing with tools and plumbing parts. Surely if I buy enough sets of wrenches and rolls of Teflon tape or glue and cleaner, vice grips surely there will be some it whatever bucket or tool box I have with me. At least it seems like it should work.

Now your talking. We need a support group. Not to help us stop but mostly to talk smack and drink coffee around a fire.

OK I gotta own this one. I took a buddy to a spot on the river to see if any white bass were around. I have progressed to the point that I have at least one of the flat tackle boxes of differing sizes for just about every place or type of fishing I am likely to do. I thought I had my river box but while there I noticed it was missing most of my favorite stuff for river whites, such as tiny rattle traps, Mepps and rooster tails, white and yellow curly tails and paddle tails etc. Well dang it I must have left on the riverbank or something. Had to go to dermatologist yesterday so I will just drop into bass pro and buy a couple things. They even had a sale on the plastic boxes 3500, 3600, or 3700 size at 3 for $12, admittedly I stopped and had 3 in my hand but then thought about this thread (wish I had got them dang it) and held strong and out them back. $80 later I had my items and was gone. When I got home I took it all to my boat, which is mostly a tackle sorting spot. Saw a plastic box that I noted had at least one of the things I wanted in my river whites box. Opened it up and son of a #$&% that box was apparently my "lost box" as it contained every single thing I had bought. I now have enough river white fishing tackle that I may move it to a 3700 size box.😁 i may have a problem, i have even gone to very specifically marking boxes and have 3 different buckets depening on what i am doing. Sadly or maybe not i have also gone to having two different rods rigged up for different fishing because who wants to spend that 60 seconds cutting off a crappie jig and tying on a rattle trap. My name is Glen and I have a problem i am a tackle Ho.

It's like giving snacks to a fat guy, he wants a full meal. But that nasty stuff will catch eater channels for sure and break you of biting your nails and picking your nose.

Not sure exactly what the topic is but it don't cost anything to just look. Unless of course you are looking at some hot young thing and your wife is with you. Then at a minimum you get the look.

I was that way with rods and reels. Gave a bunch away but am slowly rebuilding my stash. As long as my wife doesn't ask how many knives, rods, or tackle boxes I have I don't ask about her shoes and purses. We just politely ignore each others bad habits.

It's funny that probably everyone harassing Ole oneshot has MORE than 5 tackle boxes. I can't say for sure even how many I have.

I would say defective. It should have lit him up.

To be cool. Sort of like owning a giant offshore boat on LOZ.

As my vet tech daughter would loudly tell ya, a maltipoo, cockapoo, labradorite etc are nothing more than expensive mutts. They are not an AKC registered breed, but some if them are bred well and are very nice dogs. Apparently growing up I (and later her) had a lot of heck maybe they were designer mutts, we just considered them dogs. Only a small percentage of the dogs that got dumped near our house survived the rigorous application procedure to be allowed to live at our house.

In a lot if places the trapper would be short the trap for sure if it was flagged.
