  1. And guess who owns the media outlets..The same "big money" clowns that lobby for the candidates. It's all one BIG family.
  2. We all know that the government is a joke, they'll do what they're told by the one's that line there pockets. They are puppets and they will bring this country to it's knees and by how easily they are bought. We are pawns in their game. Fishing and hunting is the only thing that helps me get my mind away from the doom that we are facing..Don't matter who gets voted in, it's all set up too. We only get to vote for who is "pushed" on to the tickets. Lobbyist pick a puppet, dump millions to get them on a ticket, teach them how to say what "the people " want to hear, and BAM! just like that another joker joins the ranks of thugs that take and do what they want with OUR constitution. It's a hopeless system that will come to an end. Unfortunately, this is our time. The best of the truely free days are behind us.
  3. i've caight more this year than any other year..mostly because i've kept going back, usually one or two trips to warsaw, this year its been 5. Crappie have been thick below the dam. use 1/8 or 1/4 oz. orange heads and green or white slab masters from the station bait shop. on cooler days they're deeper so use the 1/4 oz cast out as far as you can let it sink at a 10 to 12 count, then retrieve as slow as you can stand to. You will get your limit. the colder weather slowed them down a bit, but i still limit in about an hour. 2 weeks ago it only took 30 minutes.
  4. yes you can, but its a very crowded place, during the week isn't too bad. Crappie are doing good, with all the rain work around the trees.
  5. I'm guessing that will scatter the fish below the lake in the river, i've never fished it with that much releasing...Any tips??
  6. Sounds good, i'm glad they were able to complete the work. Thanks for the reports, you've been very informative.
  7. I wonder if there has been any restocking of whites since the die off?
  8. I'm on the west side of Hwy HH.. 365 L is a big loop that comes back out on HH..there are 2 dead end roads, 365b and 365c..i'm on 365c or its also called Zumack road. I'm buying a house back there, beautiful area, the corps land borders my entire place. I've been walking the property a lot, google earth has helped me with figuring out the lay of the land. When that water goes back down, i'll be in my waders fishing the heck out of this area, looks really nice when its not flooded.
  9. i'm actually down off of the 365 loop in hickory county, a lot closer to the lake and there's no way to fish anyewhere around me unless you fished the flooded fields...probably not a good idea.
  10. The lake is a mess and very tough to fish, if its largemouth you're after, go below the dam at the state park, you'll need to go to the end of the black top and walk down past the one mile marker, or if you have a flat bottom boat go down to where the river widens, just past the little islands, that deep area on the state park side is loaded with tons af huge bass, all the way down to where it narrows. Soft plastic crawldads on a carolina rig. I landed one on nearly every single cast. There are lots of crappie around those islands too. Jerk baits did well also. Good luck!
  11. are you talking about below pomme de terre dam? If so, you can walk as far as you want down there, and there are lots of fish if you walk all the way down that trail past the 1 mile marker. It's been a week since i was down by the water on lindley creek, it was FLOODED, but wouldn't hurt to check your spot..that water is crazy high.
  12. absolutely, canoe would be perfect. About 1 1/2 miles down there is a narrowing where the current picks up for about 100 feet then widens back out. But, its nothing crazy. I've had all of my luck from the bank, but i'd do twice as good with a boat. They're supposed to go wide open with the water at the dam on april 7th if things go as planned, canoe won't be such a good idea then obviously. Good luck, let me know how you do!
  13. Lindley creek right at the end of the lake is literally in my back yard, the fields on the corps land where they plant crops are obviously flooded. Fish are slapping the water constantly, so i guess some good news with this whole flood thing, is that the fish that are feeding will put on some good weight with the abundance of bugs etc...the spawn might get jacked, maybe not..who really knows. It's still a great place to fish if you adjust strategies to conditions. Right now, there are lots of crappie and bass below the dam and even a few walleye running. Too bad im in El Dorado working, but i'll be on my way back tomorrow morning to find them fish..
