    Has anyone used the river2sea Fetch Minnow? I got one in a mystery box and looks pretty good but haven't tried it yet. It's the smaller one but the bigger one says it gets down to 10'.

    I've changed to yo-zuri too. You can get a 600yd spool of 10lb on amazon for about $15.

    I haven't fished there for smallmouth before, but others on here will tell you that probably the furthest downstream on the Meramec that you'll find any decent smallmouth fishing is probably Rt66 state park, and even then there aren't many to be found. Could there be some around Castlewood, probably, but they are most likely few and far between, especially this time of year.

    I wouldn't use fluoro for dry flies since it sinks. I'm pretty sure a lot of people use it though for streamers and nymphs if they need them to get a little deeper.

    That's the truth. Drove across the river on Hwy 30 in Fenton tonight and it looks like someone could easily wade across it there. Lowest I've ever seen it in my 39 years.

    I concur...We had ours last May and I've been very limited on how many days I got to fish after that...But I wouldn't give it up for anything. It's the best thing in the world...

    I did read the Wiki for that lake and I knew it had been around for a while. Didn't know it was built back in 1894...

    If it's the lake I'm thinking (there's only one that size in Overland) I wouldn't have guessed there were bass that big in there...Too bad it's private, but then again, most private lakes have bigger fish in them since they aren't pressured...

    Wow, Mizzou didn't look good last night against Louisville. They had Pressey contained for most of the night and Mizzou couldn't adjust.

    Unless they get their heads out of their butts and pull off a huge upset next week in College Station, they'll be hanging it up for the season. They played well at times tonight, but looked like a high school team at other times...Especially that last drive...how can you not play a zone defense at a time like that? They really need to get started on some SEC caliber recruiting ASAP...If they can't beat a mediocre Big East team, they surely can't hang in the SEC.

    But people are bringing up that soft drinks are another additive manipulated product to make you consume more of that product like tobacco products are. Im just saying not all soft drinks are.

    You can't add soft drinks into the equation because there are soft drinks without caffeine that are just as bad for you as the caffeinated ones.

    I do...I hate smoke. I work in the casinos and my health would be tons better without having to breathe 2nd hand smoke. But if they are legal the state should try make some money off them when other states are making many times more than Missouri is.

    That's a BS argument. It's not like cigarettes are a necessity to live. If you can't afford something, stop buying it. Smokers will complain when we have $4/gal gas but they'll keep on buying them cigs... Besides, rich people smoke too.
