  1. Great tips! I was on the Meremac yesterday doing almost exact opposite- no wonder!!...looking for cover in current, etc. I really appreciate the tips. I think I am going to move to a slow jig strategy in cover/calm waters Appreciate the tips! ~Mike
  2. Just curious of anyone has some winter strategies for smallies. I have been fishing the Meremac w/ of St. Louis/Bourbouse, etc. Should I just hang up my rod for the winter? Been throwing small zoom worms, white spinners, rooster tails, salt craws....any suggestions? any tips are appreciated:)
  3. I was there in August (Kings is my FAVORITE smallmouth stream)...I like to put in the first access point just south of the border. It is usually wide and docile (I fish off a kayak). You could literally walk across the 8' of channel that was left (I would have had to drag the kayak 500' just to launch...ended up not putting in and going back to Table Rock. I can only imagine how skinny the water was upstream. I know we have had some rains since, but I doubt it has brought it up much. Bet there is some outstanding fishing if you are willing to hike it in and fish the pockets...really hoping it comes back sooner!
  4. Hi Everyone, Love this resource....hopefully I can help out with future posts and/or ideas. I kayak quite a bit (2-3 times a week when I am on) and like to bass fish off the kayak. Everything St. Louis south of Little Rock and in between (Mostly Missouri and Arkansas Ozarks). It seems everytime I do online research for a trip for some waters to paddle or fish, this forum comes up with some outstanding suggestions. Much appreciated! Fish ON! Mike
