Thanks boys for your opinions. I really do value the thoughts and opinions of the "regulars" on TR. Bill, Dock In It, RPS, Champ, Bo, Quill and others. I love fishing that lake. It sure can humble a guy but thats bass fishing. I'm still learning especially the deep bite. Need to learn my graph better. It really does come down to what a guy prefers and what he has confidence in. Read the BassBlaster today. Chris Zaldain had a video on fishing the Vision 110. He uses Seaguar InvisX 12 lb.

No problem. Glad you liked it.
Thanks again for being the ambassador you are to the sport and showing people the right way to do things. I think I can speak for everyone here on the boards that we appreciate you taking the time out to give us more information than we deserve about fishing and all things related. We're lucky to have you.

New product at Tackle Warehouse (I kid you not).  Would make a great gag gift for a fishing buddy that does not like Ned rigging.

Me and my dad went out chasing crappie again today and it did not disappoint. Two man limit (30 keepers) easily caught 70 fish, and we each caught a 16" slab both released to be caught again.
Water temp was 48-50. All the fish we are finding are back in the creeks (Long, Kings, James) and have either been in the tree's or out on the flats relating to shad. Depth has been anywhere from 15-30' just depends on the day and conditions. Sunny days has them up in the water column more. With this recent stretch of warm weather we are finding more fish out away from the trees than we were a couple weeks ago. This last week casting at them has been a lot better presentation as opposed to vertical jigging. Screen time is a must but once you locate some toss a marker buoy back off and make your cast. We are strictly fishing jigs i.e. Bobby Garland, Mr. Crappie etc on 1/8oz heads. Retrieve is a slow wind while letting the jig fall to the desired depth.  You may see a tree/spot loaded and catch a few right off the bat then it shuts off, you can switch baits and colors and maybe pick up a couple more bites but you're better off moving to another spot and catching whatever active fish you can. Bouncing around is a must. Hopefully this helps some of the guys that have been asking about these mythical Table Rock crappie. - Kenny

My Dad was a minister. He told me one time: "Son, I'd rather live my life believing there is a God and finding out there isnt one, than living my life NOT believing in God and finding out there is!!" That kinda stuck with me!!

Sounds like a real show going on there. Sometimes it’s not so much the fishing but everything else we get to see out there.

That is a nice report. A buddy and I were down there fishing all of last week also. We really struggled. Now, we dont get to fish Table Rock very often so it is a big learning curve for us. We realize we cant go down there and beat the bank. Especially this time of year. We went point hopping for the most part and focused on 25-30 fow. We threw our boxes at em! Jig, spoon, crankbait, top water, carolina rig, shakey head, ned and drop shots. No love. Now, we also only fished once in the early morning, 6 to 10, and i had 7 bass with a nice 3.2 smallie and missed another keeper. My buddy had 5. We are kinda on a vacation so we are up late at night enjoying ourselves. But we thought with the decent temps, 82-85, some cloud cover and a new moon it was time to go!! Very interesting reading 196Champ's report. I bought a new Lowrance Elite Ti and i am still trying to figure it out. I did find some fish on my screen that looked a lot like the screen shot he posted. 50 fow in the mouths of coves/cuts with fish suspended down around 25-30 feet. We counted down with our drop shots but didnt catch anything. But we didnt stay with it very long! In conclusion: 1) I HAVE TO learn this graph! 2) I HAVE TO learn how to fish for suspended bass down there. Thanks for the report 196Champ and the screenshot. And let me add that we still had a great time down there at that beautiful lake!!

Don't think I have ever blown anyone off and for sure never intentionally or I would never post locations, results and information here.  In the Summer my schedule changes a frequent as the weather.  I can be booked full and someone's grandma dies and I get an opening or I get a cancellation for any reason and an opening comes up.  Usually from July 1st. thru August my book looks like a scratched up mess as it books and rebooks on a continuing basis.
Truly sorry you feel this way, that is not the type of person I am and I'm sure a few will vouch for me.  Glad your doing well and catching a bunch.
As far as emails, texts, and personal messages, I have posted here repeatedly that I can miss those messages and do quite frequently.  I try and respond, but I miss some.   If you want to talk to me call the Lodge or my cell and you got me.
Not a strange question at all and you can see from the answers, as most are totally different and everyone's expectation are different.  I ask this question to try and improve the way I address my clients needs at certain times of the year, and yes after 29 years I'm still learning and hope to continue to learn.

Yes the cast net can work under a light around the docks.  The trouble is the shad have moved deep and are pretty much not on the surface.  Not saying it can't happen but tough right now.
Another deal is you can have the kids turn over rocks on the shoreline just under the edge of the water and catch a bucket of crayfish.  You can also buy a cheap crayfish trap and put bluegill parts in it off the deep end of the dock or in the deeper stalls.  You should catch some Golly Whoppers that are good to eat and use the smaller ones to bait the lines.
Indian Point is the dam.  The dam area on here is classified from point 2 up Long Creek to Point 5 on the White and Indian Point is right in the middle.  I"m not trying to dissuade you but crappie fishing for anyone but the locals with a dock usually a big 20 slipper and they fish in a stall in the middle at times, is pretty much non-existant on Table Rock, especially the dam area.  They just don't live in very large quantities on the main lake.
January thru March, the Kings River, Long Creek, and the James River produce at times nice  crappie  In the Summer, just about Zero.  Be prepared for Whites if you see them but realize that it may not happen and right around Indian Point is as good as any to stumble onto them.  If I were looking and I fish most everyday, I probably could not find any unless they blew up.
If your heart is super set on crappie you might try vertical jigging some of the cedar trees along the bluff banks, you can visually see them and also see them with electronics if your baot has good graphs.  If you do find some, God Bless You and there are usually only one or two on a tree at most,  this is not a crappie lake, especially on the White River main lake section.
When you catch a catfish here and you will if you try, filet them and put the entire side on the grill on a piece of foil.  The meat is snow white.  Put some lemon pepper, old bay, and a little Lawrys salt on with a pat or two of butter and cook it till the edges start to sizzle and gets a slight crust around the edge.  You don't need to turn it with a  covered.grill.  For presentation when it comes off, put it on a plate with chopped chives, chopped dill and another dusting of old bay.  It won't disappoint.
If you want to catch fish, go to Lilleys Landing and rent a boat and go trout fishing.  The folks there are wonderful and full of information on how to fish the lake.  Lots more bites on the trout pond than  on the Rock in the Summer.
Grilled Trout Tacos are about as good as it gets this time of the year.

Started out of Eagle Rock at 0600 with Rod and Will.  Only 1 rig in the small lot.  We fished to the Mouth of Carter and there was absolutely no topwater early.  We caught fish on a 2.8 Keitech and a drop shot but it was not fast.  Probably about a dozen for Will and half that for Rod.  I  could catch them, but right now the speed and depth of that swim bait is CRITICAL..  I just cannot get people to fish it correctly, either to much speed or hung on the bottom.
About 0900 we finely got on them as they started chasing across from Rock Creek.   They had two on a fin that simply blew its doors off hitting it with total abandon and another dozen on the swimmer just cranking it medium fast shallow thru the chasers.  All most all the chasers were LM with the best at a couple of pounds.  Probably 30 total for the day, with a dozen small keeps.
Just zero lake traffic on a Saturday, a few bass boats and a few wake boats and that was it.  Got back to the ramp and there was only one other rig, a total of 3 rigs at 10 am on a Saturday morning.
    Good Luck

My buddy and i left the pomme area friday and drove over to Stockton to chase some eyes. When we got up around 8 it was a beautiful "walleye day". Cloudy, a little light rain periodically and light winds. By the time we ate breakfast, cleaned up, got organized, we arrived at Mutton Creek at noon to sunny skies and 25 mph winds! Mutton Creek north was closed so we drove around to Mutton south. One trailer there. But no way was i going to try and launch there! So we drove over to Roarks Bluff and it was usable. With the strong south winds we decided to stay in Son's Creek. Unbelievable how much water is there. We drifted jigs with night crawlers from noon to 6. We caught 2 smalls. 1 nice bass, 1 white bass, 1 big bluegill, 3 drums. Pretty tough sledding. Did not try trolling any crankbaits or any bottom bouncing. Probably should have.
