  1. Ok, I started this thread so I have to respond. No place like the Hill in St Louis, no place like BBQ in KC. But I sure miss the Mexican Food & Seafood I grew up with on South Padre Island Tx. I leave for Shell Knob tomorrow morning. I guess I can not expect anywhere good to eat there?
  2. Nothing like a new boat to get your mind off the grind of life. It's like instant energy. Congrats !!!
  3. I live a mile from Beaver Lake and lots of dead shad from freeze kill this winter when I was on water in January. I would guess TR got even colder.
  4. He is over the bobber and perch thing. He cast pretty well with his spinning reel but flipping out of the question at this stage. I have researched Ned rig, bought a few supplies and will be around table rock mid day Saturday. Hope to get motel and fish evening and early morning Sunday. Still trying to decide on Shell Knob or Kimberling City, available motel room may decide it for me, gonna try tonight to book. Research suggestested 1/16 oz mushroom jig, could not find at Academy or Cabelas today, not that small, all started at 1/8 oz. and bigger. I fish the Lousiana Gulf Coast couple times a year and the forumn I visit for that area is pretty raunchy and argumentative. I appreciate everyone's willingness to help and the fun you guys have.
  5. You guys are great with quick responses. Thanks for the advice.
  6. Coming to TR this weekend for 2 days fishing for first time with my 7 year old grandson. Never been on lake and don't have a clue where to start, coming from NWA, thought about Shell Knob area or Kimb City. Any advice where to start would be greatly appreciated. Whites would be prefect for Grandson, anything to keep his attention. Thanks in advance.
