  1. Dprice, you said you had your trolling motor cables tightened up. You did this because? To help your image problems?
  2. Justfishing, your transducer is to high. Hummingbird makes a y cable to hook up a side/down on the outside of the boat and shoot through hull with out using a switch. Si and Di were made for moving. If you have them on the trolling motor every time you move the head you distort the picture. If you want clear image sitting still use 2D or get 360.
  3. Bob, from my experiences with days I've caught musky in the winter. The best days for musky are the worst for bass. Bright sunny days with wind are best from what I've experienced. For the bass I love when cold front comes through and you have snow flakes as big as your hand. But for the slimes sunny bright days are best for musky and fisherman. I think their cat like in respect. You take an old house cat laying by a big window with the sun shining in and he'll be curled up in a ball enjoying it all but you go by him sliding your feet he'll bite your ankle off!!! Good luck!! Good fish'n!!! Keep safe!!
  4. I never stop fishing all year unless the lake freezes over. And I can't think of a winter that I never caught musky. So why wait!!! Sore mouth a few so maybe they will leave me alone!!!?
  5. Bob I'm not a musky fisherman at all but for as many as I catch every year maybe I should be. We caught one weekend before last that was bigger than that one. I had one January day where I caught 7 in an hour. By far the bait I've caught most of them on is a #9 shad rap. I don't know what their attraction is to that lure but it flat catches them. I think they like stealing the shad raps from you so they can put the foil on their teeth and show their buddies their GRILLZ?
  6. Bite was slow but steady. Caught 12 keepers. Best five maybe 16-17lbs. One here one there nothing bunched up. Not aggressive at all. Fished wind, calm and everything in between. Didn't seem to matter. Flatter banks, steep bluffs and everywhere in between. No pattern at all. As shallow as 8fow to 30fow. It will make you scratch your hair out!!! Still a great day for January!!!! Best one of the day 5lb-4oz fat gal!!! Caught two nice golden slimes!!!
  7. 2Short I'm with you on catch'N. None 2short but for everyone that wasn't there yesterday they were 2late!!! Sorry about pun on words!!!
  8. And by the way Smbasser likes to, well he know what he likes!!!! Ha ha!!!! He changes his profile pic when it gets cold to make everybody think he's fishing in the cold!!!
  9. Try a 25p tempest plus. You seem to be to low. I have never ran a pro craft boat but from memory the hull is about like the old viper hulls. Right now is not a good time to try to prop one out. You need to wait till the water gets back to around 65-70 degrees. You prop one right now in this cold of water you will pull your hair out when it gets hot. Some boats just take a lot of time to get right. Not every prop run the same, even brand new out of the box with same pitch. When the water temp rise back up you need to run all kinds and types to find what works with your pad. You'll find one that's close to working. Then you need to find some one to work on your prop. It can't be just any guy that says he can do it. So get a few names of ones then call them and see if they can give you some reference names. There are a lot of prop guys with an anvil and a dead blow hammer but absolutely don't know what they are doing. Good luck!!!
  10. You can not keep 5 fish and keep throwing them out one at a time. You can by the law,and the tournament says you can only have 5 fish at weigh in. You have 5 fish and you catch a 6lber you can keep that fish and throw one fish back. But you daily limit has been met and you may not keep any more fish for the day.
  11. When bigger tournaments are here in Missouri in July and August. They tell you that once you catch your 5th fish your done for the day. So once you catch 4 fish you have a decision to make. You Can Not cull in July and August. You put it in the well you keep it weither you have 2 or 5.
  12. Yes sir, be careful there are some low water bridges. Don't drive fast. The road makes a y, make sure you stay to the left or you will end up at Adonis" stink'n creek bottoms".
  13. It was cold, wet and windy!!!! But got him a few before he froze out, me too!!!
  14. He can throw anything, a-rig, jerk bait ect. I just want him to do some catch'n. We can fish vertical, have the electronics to do that. Just would like a general idea where to start. Usually only go there once or twice a year. But not at this time of year.

  16. Ok, here's the deal. I have a senior in high school that I have turned in to a fishing maniac. I can call him at 4am and say I'll be by in 30min and he will be ready and waiting. So I told him if they won their basketball game today, I would take him to the rock. And you guessed it, they won!!! Help please!!!
