  1. It's really tough getting any bass information on Grand. 90% of the fishing i do is there and it's gotten very tough over the last few years (granted i'm no good....). seems to be much less casual fishing done there than Table Rock, which is why i assume everything is so hush-hush. Lake is packed on weekends when tournaments are on and a ghost town when not. I primarily fish the Elk Arm and up to Sailboat Bridge, just due to to the location convenience for me. I always throw a crankbait first, always. Jig, swimbait, texas rig worm are also staples in the arsenal depending on season. The "mid-lake" area is generally known as the biggest producer, deeper water and usually cleaner
  2. I went out for a bit last night, started about 5:30. Intended to fish until after dark but a broken trolling motor prop shaft put an end to it early. Did manage to catch a few in the first spot we pulled up at. Wind blown main lake rocky point with a square bill. They were shallow, 2-3' deep.
  3. I'm on that FB group, but mostly see info on every species of fish known to man except bass. I just assumed it was due to the tournament scene. Im not looking for specific GPS locations or anything crazy, just an idea of what is going on. Of course i'm guilty of not posting when i go, so maybe that's a start....on a side note, i'm curious to know what is considered "mid lake" area on Grand. Have heard that term a lot, have an idea but just curious what others think
  4. Thanks for sharing. See almost zero info ever shared about Grand and every little bit helps the casual fisherman like me. Can be a tough lake at times. What general area of the lake have you been fishing?
  5. that rat is crazy! i like the color combo. good day for sure.
  6. long time reader, first time posting....have decided to try and spend a little more time on TR this year and this site has been a wealth of information. after spending the majority of the last several years fishing Grand Lake, TR is quite a different experience. am thinking of coming that way tomorrow but see this awesome weekend cold front. just looking for thoughts or ideas on how this type weather will effect the bite from the folks who know it best. if i do make it, will be on the White River, just as info.
