Fished CC area. Water temp 80F. Fairly "green" water. Visibility 3 ft.. The wife and I caught 21 keeper crappie. Most 4 to 6' deep in standing timber on windy bank. Real shallow. A few vey small white bass. Caught 5 channels including a 4 lb and 6 1/2 lber.  All in all not a bad idea although did have to fight the wind a lot but at least it wasn't too hot out.

Another great evening of brush pile fishing. From 7p till dark. 3 different BP's. All have been producing. Came home with 27. Not one under 10". Had two right at 15". This year has been the best ever for me as far as size. 40yrs +/- !

It was my intention to post this much sooner but long work days got in the way. My brother-in-law (pictured) was up from Texas so I took him out to catch a deep-fried dinner. We beat the heat and made quick work of it after launching @ 8am. Fishing the Little Sac side, we wrapped up our trip within 2 hours with our limit in the livewell:  just off the edge of a flat, 19 - 23ft, 1 to 1.2 mph, 1.5 BB, spinner crawler harness - chartreuse, orange and firetiger blades. Except for 2, all walleye between 19 - 24 inches. If I fished any shallower or deeper than the 19-23, bluegill robbed us.

Looks like a great haul!  We have had our best year yet on Stockton for crappie but the last 2 outings have only produced 4 keepers. I have a hard time identifying the brush piles I guess or at least the ones with fish on them. Getting spanked makes me wanna get back on em that much worse!...nice boar for the "WIFE" by the way...lol...I think my wife deserves an upgrade as well.

Was fishing standing timber past few weeks with little luck. Finally started focusing on main lake BP's. Thats where they are. As far as what ive found the BP needs to be in 25-35 fow. Shallower ones seem to only have bass and bluegill on them. Have to put up with the boat traffic (wakeboarders) only downside to the main lake fishing. I seem to attrack them !! Shiners better then toughies too.

Good job MrG. I fished very similarly the last couple of weekends, just haven't had time to post a report. I caught a bunch of crappie and some nice walleye, but had best luck with #5 purple tiger. No where near lmt out kinda numbers, but enough to keep us interested. Can't beat frying fresh fish two weekends in a row! Sadly, I won't be back for three weeks due to work. Keep the reports coming!

Talked to a guy at the ramp, pretty slow, he says.
Well it was my first time ever catching more than one walleye in a short after work trip. I've caught plenty, just never more than one per trip.
Dipped jigs around bridge pilings first, caught two short crappie, one keeper, and a small white.
Screwed around for a while next, did a little trolling, caught another short crappie.
After that I played around with a jigging spoon in the shade until dusk, then went back to trolling in a spot that has produced in the past. First fish, 18" walleye, then a good sized white, and another 19" walleye to end the night.
All on lead core, ~22 ft down in 25-30 fow. #7 flicker shads.
I finally bought a dedicated trolling rod with a line counter, it was worth every penny. Gotta get another.
Now I just need to get my livewell put in, so I can keep a few for dinner when the weather is hot like this. My 5 gallon bucket days are over.
85 degree, water, still very clear.

Wife and I in one boat and Sister and boy friend in another had a pretty good day we had 25 with 9 keepers and they had 15 with 8 keepers. Bb with harnesses 20 to 25 ft was best.  2 best were 23 and 23.5. Wife edged me by a half inch. Lol

We put in at  CC trying to avoid the crowds. We put in at about 5:30pm and headed north.  We cruised around trying to mark brush piles and fish. ( I just got a new Garmin so I was playing with it lol) after  we found a couple spots we set up with a green light at dark and stayed put for several hours.  Most of the fish were caught at around 10' on a variety of different colored jigs.  All in all it was a fun night!

Haven't been catching much bass, but I don't generally run cranks that shallow.
Trolling flicker shad in slick mouse and firetiger, 8 out of 10 were on the slick mouse with lead core 18 feet down in 25-40 fow. The big slabs love it, and I'll pick up a walleye now and then.
Purple tiger was doing good too until I lost it in a brush pile, need to replace that one, it's always been a productive color.
First pic from Thursday night. Quit early as I had enough for dinner in 2 hours. Second pic was from last week.
Also caught a 4lb carp on a crappie jig, gave my 10ft rod a workout.
Haven't had much luck dropping jigs, the crappie seem awfully scattered right now.

Well done and a nice fat walleye for a bonus!
9 days ago I was trolling #7 Flicker Shads in Uncle Rico and Pink cougar in about 28-32' and had the same luck as you (Mr Giggles). Fire tiger
has been a long time favorite color of mine but they didn't want that or a solid purple. The Uncle was as close to a purple bait as they would
take. I was trolling with braid, 1.5 mph, about 12-14' deep in clear water with a temp of 76-78 south of twin bridges. I had several shorts but the
majority were decent sized females, all with eggs when we cleaned them. Evidently, they are moving deeper which I guess isn't surprising.
Thanks for the report Mr G ...especially the heads up on getting back to fire tiger.

Caught several females last night both crappie and white bass....the majority of them had a lot of eggs still. They were not busting like they were a few weeks ago I'm no expert, in fact I'm still learning, but my guess is they are still dropping eggs. I think the water is so clear they are spawning deeper. I also believe they are about as close to being finished without being finished as they can be. How ever far down the 59-60 degree water is where I'd guess they like to hang out. This is just my thoughts. I read everyone advice and reports to learn so if I can offer a little here and there I'll gladly do so!

we fished last  Friday night into early Saturday morning, fished shiners under lights in 25-20ft in the little sac arm. caught most of our fish either on the bottom or just a couple of feet off the bottom. id say 40% of the fish were females and they had not spawned out and there was little to no blood in the egg sacks. brought home 38 crappie between the 3 of us. counting all the white bass and the 1 keeper walleye we had it was around 150 fish night.  Caught a TON of short crappie from 8"-9 3/4" and TON of white bass. it would also come in spurts, we would go 15-20 minutes with very little action and then the graph would light up and it was  on for several minutes and then shut off again.  got on the water just before 7pm and was back at the ramp about 1:15ish am .
good luck to everyone this weekend, gald to hear the flicker shad bite is starting, need to get those rod holders installed this weekend!!!

I went night fishing last night from about 8:30 to 10:45. The crappie were hammering it and I came home with a limit. Water temperature was about 76 degrees and about 23 feet of water under green lights. I couldn't keep a minnow in the water. I also several large white bass but no eyes which I was surprised because I usually catch a few. Some females still had eggs. Tight lines and good luck.
