  1. Looked at water levels and took trip on short notice. Sunburst full. Drove the 7-1/2 hours and stayed at Lost Cabins Resort. Put in at Hebron at 11:30 on Saturday. Water was perfect. Only drug 4-5 times. Caught 2 goggle eye and 12 SM. Did not fish real hard. Pulled canoe over and fished good spots after runs. Had 3 that were 14". All released. All caught on 1/8 oz. zig jig, orange head ginger/olive, Took out at Lost Cabins about 2 miles below twin bridges at 5:30. Had dinner cooked just as downpour began, By putting in late we saw less than 20 other canoes. Peaceful and beautiful float, Small river up there. River level was at 577 CFS. North Fork is really a treasure. Planned to float Sunday but rain and poor forecast put us back on road at 11 am,
  2. Put in at Riverside at noon. Had DW and Dad in canoe. Fishing with tubes and maribou jigs. Nothing big 8-10 smallies and 2 goggle eye. Took out at Elk River Resort at Ginger Blue at 4 pm. Didn't see a soul. My Dad's never seen the zoo it is in the summer. What a great river. Water low but plenty floatable. Only had to push 4-5 times. The float from riverside down is best. Up above is much flatter and slower after floods. Trees still 7-10 days from peak color. Shortest drive for us to any river. 305 miles on way.
