A sabbatical from my law practice in 2000 stretched to two years and then a resignation from my firm. About the same time, my wife had her fill of telecommunications. Both girls were out of college, the bills were paid, and we were very tired of 70 hour weeks. We talked about what we wanted to be when we grew up. We decided teaching would be the best alternative. Then we talked about where we might try to teach. We made a list - hills or small mountains, lakeside, an airport with jets within an hour, someplace that would not force us to go to teacher college first. We wound up in the Ozarks.
We have moved back to Tulsa in retirement, but still remember the wonderful Ozarks.
