  1. Thanks to both of you for your reply....Lilley you are just flat a good person. Thank you.
  2. Guys, I'm wanting to come down Labor Day weekend for my birthday and yes I know it's late to try and book anything. I have only found one place with any rooms at all and it is Ozark Trout Resort. I usually stay at another place and it is booked. I'm looking for any kind of review you can give me on the place. I don't want to start trouble either, so you can email me your info at tshuntnfish@hotmail.com so it doesn't offend anyone. Not looking for anything fancy, just want a clean room, nice folks and a stall for my boat. thanks, kscatman
  3. thanks, i though the projections are for the day posted? it shows like march 25th????
  4. Does anyone have a guess at all as to what they think they might do with the water thursday thru sunday? looks like they are blasting 3 units 24 hours a day right now.......hope it's not like that the whole time.
  5. hahahah, no infomercial here. I"m from kansas and only get down once a year at best. Just was saying that is what we use all the time so I won't be going up in the trophy area much because it's a soft plastic. we like to throw jigs alot also and used to use those about 100% of the time, but one year i bought these and went thru about 4 packs in one morning and haven't gone back to the jig since. i tight line them and they catch fish like nothing else i've ever used down there and it's like sight fishing. we love to throw rapalas and rogues as well on the bluffs when they are running water, that is a ton of fun to watch them follow that thing to the boat........again, no infomercial for anything, just chatting it up.
  6. Thanks for the updates guys. we are so excited to come down that we could wet ourselves. we will be in a boat the whole time, although we like to fish off the dock at night as well. don't plan to be in the trophy area at all, last time if they ran water hard we just ran down to monkey island and did real well out of the current. we aren't bait fisherman either. just throw trout magnets almost exclusively. thanks again, travis
  7. Hi everyone, We are going to be headed down there to fish from a boat and from the docks this coming thursday thru sunday. I"m trying to figure this generation thing out on the chart. It looks to me like they have been running 2 units the past couple of days and then shutting it down at night? I see the charts, just was hoping someone could tell me what is really happening so I can figure the chart out. Thanks, Travis
  8. That is just a terrible bad sight to see. My family and I caught literally thousands of trout off that dock on vacations when i was a kid. It's been in terrible shape for years, just sad to see and old friend float by like that. Travis
  9. We are looking for a home or large condo on taneycomo on the lake. I though I had seen posted somewhere before that there are some of those out there, I though lilley was renting on out but, I can't find any info on it. I see you have the one on the golf course but we really want one on the lake and a slip where I can keep my boat for the week. Any help would be appreciated. thanks for your time, travis I meant to rent for a week, sorry for any confusion. Thanks in advance. Travis
  10. Here in kansas you can hammer the channel when the crappie are spawning. I catch them with road runners like crazy while trying to catch crappie. My theory is that the channel are stacked up in the shallow water eating the crappie eggs as they are being laid. Hope this helps. Travis
  11. hey smallie, thanks for the help! when the tourney gets alittle closer i might get back with you! I do appreciate the help big time! kscatman
  12. thanks for all the replys guys. To make along story short, the wind blew about 35 mph which is tough with a little plastic 2 man boat. I ended up catching quite a few crappie and 4 bass on a charlie brewer slider grub. Went back yesterday and caught about 20 more crappie. Guess what is for supper tonight? LOL kscatman
  13. I will do that snag. The wind is howling pretty good right now but, i'm going regardless. any ideas on how to fish that stick bait? anyone think it's to early for a jig? Thanks for the replys so far guys. thanks, kscatman
  14. hey guys, alittle off subject but, i'm in kansas and it's going to be 66 degrees today with alittle gusty south wind. There's still ice on this morning but, it will be off this afternoon by the time i go (hopefully). anyhow, i'm going to be crappie and bass fishing a watershed where the maximum depth is 14 ft. I know how to get the crappie but, i was thinking of throwing for bass some. I haven't fished jerk baits alot. I was going to fish them and fish a small hair jig with a pork trailer. should i fish where the water is blowing to? will the wind blow colder water there or warmer water there? any suggetions? thanks, kscatman
  15. There is a possibilty that I might be fishing this lake in Mid March this year for a kansas bass tourney. I've never even seen the lake and maybe, will have one day to prefish the thing. Can you guys give me some ideas of where to start that time of year in the lake and possibly ideas of what to use. I love jigs and that type of thing. Only thing I can't stand throwing is jerk baits, but if you have to that early, then you have to. any help would be appreciated. This is going to be me and my partners very first bass tourney for each of us. thanks, kscatman
