No A rigs allowed in the tourney this year from what I hear.

Didn't find any schoolers, so we hit a few areas and ended with 2 smallmouth and some decent spots. It got hot quick and we were back at the ramp by maybe 11.

We put in at Rocky Branch at 7:15 this morning and heard you blasting away. Hope the eats are good!

August 30th has been announced as the grand opening.

No I stole it, but it was taken here locally.

Ron it will be on at 5pm, but just about everything Cabela's gave me was in my prior post. You guys got the sneak peek! Nothing earth shattering, just trying to update those looking forward to the stores opening.

Just wrote a quick update for 40/29 News tonight on the progress of the new Cabela's store. And in talking with the corporate office this morning here are some of the nuggets I learned. -Construction is on schedule -Grand opening date is not set, but it will be this summer. They usually announce the date 8 weeks out. -The store will employ appx. 175 people and right now they are still looking at applications and sending out job offers. -They are working on grand opening events right now that will include speakers, giveaways, outdoor personalities and family events. I'll pass along any new info I get.

Not sure how different the Revo S is, but I love mine. Casts a little crankbait a mile. Wish I could afford 5 more of them.

Thanks for all the help. I'm a little new to creek/river fishing. I grew up fishing ponds and lakes with big bass tackle. I've been fishing since I was a kid, but just bought a spinning outfit for the first time not too long ago. Like I said, still getting used to down-sizing baits, rods and reels. It's like learning to fish all over again. Kind of....

Just a jig head, but it's flat....Allows the worm to stand straight up.

I've got spot removers and different shaky heads, but I think they may be too big to rig up with the YUM craws I have. I guess a smaller jig head would be best. The ones I have have like 3/0 or 2/0 hooks....

How big? I've got a ton of jigs I use when lake fishing, 1/2 oz., 3/8 oz. I'm guessing those will work in like a green pumpkin? Do you use a trailer?

will be this weekend. I know it's gonna be crowded, but what are 2-3 must have baits for the area? I don't keep any fish so I'm not asking how to fill the fryer!!!
