Been about 4 weeks so I jarred up the kraut. Got almost 3 quarts from two medium-sized cabbage heads. Flavor is very good. Quite a bit crunchier than store bought kraut. I think we’ll do Reubens this week.

Tonight hand made burgers with swiss cheese, onion, dill pickles, ketchup, homemade mayonnaise. Served with a side of homemade cole slaw.

Windy, threatening to rain day here in Tulsa. So I put a thick pork shoulder steak in the egg to smoke about 10:30 this morning. Now at 4:30 the pig is in the "stall." I have chosen, like last time, not to wrap but to see it through. That way I have more burnt ends, my beautiful wife's favorite part.

NEW ONES from : www.jigs4bass.com Got a call from one of my fisherman and he was looking at the clear water patterns but wanted them done in another jig style ...... No problem.... Created a bladed vibrating jig and a switch blade jig in color patterns "clear silver shad" and "clear silver/blue". Most often clear water conditions calls for natural looking baits mimicking local forage and this gathering is designed to do just that. The base color of the skirt is a clear/silver mimicking shad and some have skirt accent colors to draw the fish's attention. Great for fan casting areas generally searching or use it on schooling fish.... great bait to have on deck! Bladed jigs : $3.99 each Switch Blade Jigs : $3.69 each Charge your purchases at www.jigs4bass.com to Visa, Master Card, Discover and American Express in addition to PayPal and direct payment with money order or personal check. When you visit my store at www.jigs4bass.com take a minute and register….it will make your next order much easier and we maintain a record of all your purchases so you can look back on your orders to buy your favorite bait. Thanks….Michael Thanks, Michael www.jigs4bass.com

The wife and I attended a socially distanced block party of 10 tonight. Everyone brought a small side dish and their protein. I made fishburgers and peach salsa. I also brought the flat top and did the flipping. By the time I cooked our fishburgers, there was hardly enough peach salsa to introduce to the burgers.
The beautiful wife made a cake with dreamsicle icing.
    Life is good.

Oh heck no, I’m not telling any grandma anything. Learned that long ago.
Just get two containers of mushrooms - one for her and one for the short ribs 😄

Please tell or I mean explain to granny all she needs is a brush. Buy her a mushroom brush or a toothbrush works well. Just give then a sweep.   Is granny the matriarch of your family? If she is maybe you should keep your mouth shut or better yet tell her @ness was the one who said this. Not the BilletHead .

    Explanation:
The only short ribs I found were at your’s truly...Costco. But they were boneless, which I didn’t like. Also I can blame one on granny 😊, she was super enthusiastic about washing the mushrooms to oblivion. So needless to say the mushrooms were a tad wet.

Looks like you are all having fun! Did not cook this but the best thing I’ve had in awhile. Pho Tai Chin from the local Vietnamese place. Rice noodles  with brisket, rare beef, Thai basil, sprouts, jalapeños, and a bit of sriracha.

Actually the funniest thing is watching the Asians fight over chestnut procuring methods. 😂 The park rangers had to get involved, one Chinese guy came a pole with a hook on it and was shaking branches and knocking them off. They are definitely the “kill the goose that lays the golden egg and eat it for supper” culture. Then the others who see him collect more chestnuts than them come screaming. It’s a fiasco.😂

Going to try Gordon’s short rib recipe tonight. Wolfgang Puck has a similar version, but this one looks better to me. I’ll let you know how it goes.
