No one been fishing Beaver?

Recommended Posts

Whats the story? Any reports from Beaver?

Overall how would y'all rate Beaver, Bull Shoals and Table Rock,in order, as far as a Bass Fishery goes? (Largemouth, Smallies and Kentucky's {spotted}) I have only fished Table Rock but always wanted to fish Beaver.

Beaver lake is a good all around lake with a great Striper fishery, but I think table rock beats it in for bass fishing. The lake is very clear and calls for different techniques than with Table Rock. It is fun to fish with some really great smallies and the structure of the lake reminds me of the type of structure you would see in Canada. The spring brings great top water action with good size schools of spots all over the lake, and the fluke bite is great secondary to the clear water. I am not an expert by any means and I am sure there are guys on this post that can give you better/more information.

I went today and looked at some of the ramps that I use on Beaver lake. I looked first at lost bridge south which by the picture is usable, but a long ways down.IM000471.jpg

I also went to Indian creek which does not have a dock at this time. The best of the three was the Dam site boat ramp which looked like there was some type of tournament out of it today. There was some people trolling for striper right by the dam, but the lake did look low. Pray for Rain.

So, anyone been out chasing big ole' mr. lineside lately? Thinkin' bout heading down to Mike and Phyllis' place "Across The Creek", around the Lost Bridge area and fishing nights on the full moon coming up here in a couple weeks. If the stripers aren't bitin' at least you can eat good there at the all-u-can eat buffet they put on Friday and Saturday night!!!! Anyone heard of anything happening yet on the lake or are they still up in rivers?

Hey I fished the White River arm of Beaver last weekend with a buddy and our wife / girlfriends. We caught limits or near limits of crappie both days. Crappie fishing isn't one of my strong suits but it sure seemed easy Sat & Sunday. We were using a new jig made by Arkie Jigs, called the Shinee Hinee. Man they were eatin' that thing up. I also saw some fine looking bass brought in each evening. Things are startin' to pop...!!

I have been searching and searching for a good web site that gives a decent fishing report for the striper fishing on Beaver and I can't find a report worth a hoot anywhere. Also, does anyone know of a website that gives water temps for Beaver? Seems to me like there is just not a whole lot of info on Beaver lake anywhere to be found. I'm fixing on heading out Friday regardless of what I find out on any report so hopefully I'll come back Monday with some sort of a striper report. I have called a few guides on Beaver and while they beat around the bush a little on telling you what is going on, it does sound like they are starting to catch a few in the 10 to 20 lb range. They will not give me a good idea of where they are fishing so hopefully the few spots that I personally have found over the years will produce this weekend.
