Floated a portion of the Duck river on Friday September 4th. My first fishing trip in TN. For those that don't know it is one of the most biologically diverse rivers in the USA. I was amazed at the amount of mussel shells--everywhere there was gravel, there were mussel shells. I was also amazed at the amount of TRASH...sandals, lawn chairs, meat packages, etc. Looks like Tennessee needs some steam teams.

Mostly caught little spotted bass, but we did catch a few nice smallies ~17 inches. I was amazed at the different coloration of the fish, fish out of deeper slower water had a gray/brown tint, while fish in fast gravel filled water looked to be a dark bronze.

It was a great trip, people from Tennessee have to be the nicest people on the planet.
