Hey guys,
I'll be making my first trip to Taneycomo this weekend and I'm looking for a little advice. In the upper section, are we better off accessing the water on the north or south side? I've only been fly fishing for a.couple years and spend most of my time on the Current River. I've heard a lot about the great trout fishing on Taneycomo and I'm really looking forward to checking it out and trying my luck. Any other advice on flies etc would be appreciated.
Thanks!
Adam

Flood gates might be open by this weekend. We're fixin to get a whole bunch of rain according to the weatherman and that might make for some tough trout fishing this weekend. You might be able to fish in the pavillion parking lot on the north side below the hatchery.

It is hard to say what conditions you'll face, but for other information you'll do no better than to go back and read the threads on this site. One of the biggest advantages of this forum is the historical threads from past springs.
Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
