Members fishfeeder
I fished LIR Saturday afternoon below Watts parking lot. I spent a couple hours stripping a woolly bugger and only got a couple. I think something started hatching about 5PM, fish rising. Midge hatch? Does anybody know what they might have been eating? All I know is it wasn't my fly. thanks in advance.
JCWolfe
It was either midges or march browns I bet. You see anything on the surface, fly around? Okiemountaineer
budman
not sure what they were but we caugth several of the midges hatching and they were brown. We hat nothing that look they same, only had some black midge. There was also a few small tan colored mayfly hatching. We caught about a dozen each but there were alot of fish feeding on the brown hatch going on between the rain showers.
JCWolfe
March brown time right now, pheasant tail nymphs and zebra midges is what I would use if I could ever get there to fish. Okiemountaineer
