Favorite movies - (formerly 5 only)

I see a pattern as well. Great direction. Orson Welles once said he learned from the three greatest directors in Hollywood. John Ford, John Ford, and John Ford.

Obviously he is in the group, as is Spielberg, Capra, the Coen brothers, and, I think, Eastwood. David Lean wasn't too shabby either.

h

Hitchcock has got to be on there. Rear Window, Vertigo, Rhe Man Who Knew Too Much

Tombstone

Point Break

Young guns

Grumpy old men

Blazing Saddles

And of course....A River Runs through it

I can't ever rhink the words Blazing Saddles without laughing. How the heck did that get past the sensors?

I was about 13 when that came out. My dad took my brother and I to see it because he liked westerns. Oh,what a memory!!

Even Mel has said with this Politically correct world and the lack of people understanding the satire it was based off of the movies at the time and time period itself this movie could not be made today. He went on to say that though he could make it and politics aside it was the satire it had on the movies of the time and the cast members who only wanted to make a fun movie and have fun making it.

I love interviews with Mel he just makes you laugh, think and feel good.
