war eagle spinnerbaits

Depends on water color. Stained or muddy water gold blades. Clear or stained water crome blades. Thats pretty much in stone. Skirt colors will just cause an on going debate. I go chart or chart/white murky water. Clear i like smoke/purple white and stain remover WarEagles. They make the best SB my opinion. I used to build my own SB and WarEagle uses top notch components the swivels clasps hook and skirts are the best on market. Plus they are made in Rodgers,Arkansas and not China or somewhere overseas. An oldtimer told me to always spin the wind no wind no fish (on spinnerbaits) cant deny always worked for me.

I apprentice in a bait shop down the road from my house and I used only war eagles until I tried papis. His sb's are similar to war eagles with the same quality components but we can costumize colors and blades and they are cheaper at 4.50 a piece. We've got probly close to 50 poured an painted but haven't had time to assemble them. We are swamped between mushroom head jigs ordered off eBay and custom orders for bass jigs and our own designed structure shakey we can't hardly keep up.

The War Eagle spinner bait is a good choice. I have an old favorite Bulldog spinner bait that has a size 6 Colorado blade that has caught my biggest fish. The bigger the blade the better the lift. I seem to be able to adjust the pace of that blade better. That's real good when throwing over and through laydowns etc. Most spinner baits I see in the stores have a bigger selection of willow leaf blades. They may have more flash , but I kind of like the thump of the Colorado.

SRJ Im a bait builder myself and know what its like to be stacked up with orders. Its awsome and awfull at the same time. Got outta selling to overwhelming for me. It also freed some fishing time. I fish with alot of my own baits and do well but it husts a little more to break off than store bought. Ill keep my eye out for your baits. I dont bass much anymore but i still get the bass bug on acasion. I would rether fish hand made then big box but thats just me. Fish on your own lures mean more also. I incurrage more fisherman to get into building its really not that hard just take time.

Use a 3/8 oz spinner bait when fishing close in to the bank and 1/2 oz for water 7-10 feet deep. and 3/4 past that When fishing clear water, use tandem silver Colorado / willow leaf blades. When fishing stained water, use a tandem gold Colorado front blade and a gold Indiana rear blade. blade sizes will improve the rate of lift and the column of water for presentation As for skirt color, use shad color in clear water and chartreuse in stained water. With stained in many areas now from rains, the extra flash and vibration is the deal.

Jim I exspect some spinnerbaits. Pm me

i love to slow roll those big thumpers at night around big boulders. you never know when a big small jaw is going to inhale it. BAM!!!
