Fellows still quiet

Went out to Fellows for a couple hours this evening. Fished on the rocks west of the fishing dock. Forgot my nightcrawlers, but tried a little swirl tail grub on a jig, white spinnerbait, texas-rigged crawdad, and a buzzbait over by the trees sticking out of the water back in the corner. Nothing was biting, but noticed what had to be some bass nailing shad on the surface back in the timber, which made me pull out the buzzbait. Anybody else having any luck?

Nope was there's this afternoon as well but I was by the darn fishing for crappie and white bass. I have never caught anything out if there. Everytime I go I get skunked about to give up fishing there might be doing something wrong or maybe I need a boat

I didn't have a chance to go last weekend but plan on going this upcoming one. Fellows is hard to fish without a boat and heck, can be hard to fish with a boat. Its taken me a good year to year 1/2 to find crappie out there. I'd sure like to find a walleye pattern though.

I've only caught a few bass out of that lake but I rarely target them. I know they are in there, I've seen the pictures.

I was there yesterday evening for a bit, sun and the warm temps have brought the temp up a bit. It was running 53 to 55 degrees, I checked a couple deeper brush piles that I had been catching crappie on and they seemed to have moved off those spots, I am going to assume they have started to stage up outside spawning areas but didn't have time to run around and check, I didn't get up there until late. I bet the rain we got today and are going to get tomorrow will back them off a bit. I hope to get a chance to go Saturday so ill report water temps and what I find or catch if anything then. I would guess it will be a couple weeks before it really kicks off due to the up and down temps that we will have for a while here.

If you go west of the fishing dock in that little pocket, there are some downed trees in the water way back up in there.
