Went out both Saturday and again today. I have very little experience with Missouri's reservoirs but managed to catch a potpourri of everything. We caught white bass, small mouth, large mouth, crappie and even a channel cat. We were trolling Rapelas 10 to 15 ft deep along the outside bends of the river channel near Cape Fair.

Thanks for the report, we don't hear enough from what is happening up there. That is one thing about the River systems on this lake, you can catch just about anything up there. It's really fun to get the mixed bag. You just missed the spoonbill. Gives you a reason to come back and try it again :secret-laugh:

I was there yesterday with a buddy that is a lurker on this sight, I hope he sees this. We caught about 20 crappie in flat creek with only 6 keepers it has definitly slowwed down. then we ventured out to capture some elusive large mouth, went out toward bearden cove ( i think thats what its called. caught a few bass on a wart and a then some on the Ned. Only one keeper bass and my buddy lost another keeper. about 15 bass all together. all spots except the one that got away and a cou[le short LM.....flatt creek was a little dirty but once we got in the James it was a nice green stain

Fished Point 11 area Friday PM, 4/10, and Saturday, 4/11. Lots of large shad schools, with bass and monster white bass (2-1/2 to 3#) busting them for some extended periods of time.

Saturday 3.8" swim bait was the ticket for us, but saw others, some of the FLW Collegiate teams, doing well on A-rig. Lots of boats Saturday. 11 keeps up to 3#, mix of spots, LM & SM. Best 5 maybe 14#. Caught close to 70 overall Saturday with 7 XXL Whites. Never pursued the whites but they were going good.

No giant bass but much fun. What a great lake we have. Back with family in a few weeks.
