got out for a bit and put in at H around 7:30 p.m.. caught a 4 lber. right off the bat, and ended up with 10 keepers. had a couple other 3's, and most were better than just keepers.

pattern was to stay in the back half of coves. depth of most bites, around 15 feet. best producing setup was a senko rigged on a 3/16 NuJig with a 3/16 bullet weight on the line. i did catch two of the keeps on a 1/2 Elite with brown and blue skirt and blue trailer.

the bass were scattered and not really bunched up. just a bite where you happened to get one.

hahaha, it is the same lake level as the rest of the lake. about 919. the water is pretty tinted. i would say 2 to three feet back in the coves, and the main lake a bit clearer, but not all that much.

Fishing a night tournament tonight, couple young gun rookies here. Got any pointers? We pre fished last night some around Joe bald and pretty much had the same result as you but I sinned some, I didn't even pick up a jig. Ssshhhh don't tell.

i am guessing that many of those bringing in bass in the derbies right now might be brush pile fishing, especially those that seem to be getting them consistently. i do not know where the first brush pile is and have never been a brush pile fisherman. but, with the lack of trees, good brush piles can now become good places to be fishing. you do need them to be in the right depth of water for current circumstances though.
