BFL angler stabbed to death after tournament

Recommended Posts

Champ is correct. Nothing to do with the tournament at all. I'm buddies with a couple kids from that town that I've met fishing that are friends with Dylan. I saw a bunch of stuff on Facebook Sunday morning about it and came across the story of what happened this evening. Just some punks out causing trouble for no good reason. I feel bad for his family and especially little brother, having to watch him go through that. I fish alone quite often and have been lucky to not run into any nut jobs. Makes me think about getting a CCW.

One thing for certain, a human life has VERY LITTLE value in our current society.  Prayers for Dylan Poche and his family as I CANNOT begin to fathom the devastation of losing a child.

Article in the Shreveport paper said Dylan's younger brother chased the suspects until they crashed and flipped their vehicle, pinning them inside. Probably a good thing for them or there might've been two killings.

I was bankfishing on Long Creek for cats late last year, about 4 am someone fired a shot over my head from woods. First time I ever heard the 'wiz' of a bullet go by my head.

Just a cpl seconds before shot, my Bull Mastiff down the bank let out a loud bark, I turned and headed back a split second before shot. He very well could have saved me.

Needless to say we ran like jack rabbits back to car and got the hell out of there.

Arrest Made in Dylan Poche Angler Murder Case

An arrest has been made in connection with the stabbing death of Northwestern State University college angler Dylan Poche.

We received a press release from the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff's Department that an arrest was made in the murder of 18-year-old college angler Dylan Poche.

Here is their full release:

Murder Arrest made in connection with Dylan Poche Death

According to Natchitoches Parish Sheriff Victor Jones Jr., this evening at approximately 7:30pm, Natchitoches Parish Sheriff's Detectives with a criminal arrest warrant signed by a Tenth Judicial District Court Judge arrested Andrew Jacob Wallace, 18, of the 4700 block of La. Hwy 3278, Natchitoches, La. for 2nd Degree Murder in connection with the stabbing death of Dylan Kyle Poche.

Wallace was arrested Saturday night on probation violation charges by NPSO Deputies shortly after investigation began and has since been held in the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center without bond.

Sheriff Jones said detectives have been actively involved in the investigation since Saturday night, interviewing potential witnesses and gathering evidence for a strong case.

On Monday afternoon, detectives recovered a "critical piece of evidence" near the crime scene.

Additional information will be released during a press conference held at the NPSO Criminal Investigations on Tuesday afternoon February 2nd at 1:30pm.

Location: 331 Lafayette Street, Natchitoches, La.

We ask that you continue to remember Dylan and his family in your prayers.

I actually lived in Natchitoches, LA for a summer while working. Its pronounced, (nag a dish). There were plenty of punks like him running the streets at night. Its a shame that he had a to be a "tough guy". Nobody deserves to be killed over an argument. He will get out of jail after several years & go back to his trashy ways. Prison does not rehabilitate felons, its quite the opposite. People like that deserve to be shot on sight.

If I had any say in the matter which I do not it's time for some good old " DOWN HOME JUSTICE " in our fine country, which consists of take him out behind the barn & #1: " BEAT THE LIVING __ __ __ __ OUT OF HIM " then explain to him the errors of his ways, then #2: " SHOOT HIM IN THE HEAD " !!!!!!! Save us all a bunch of money & time, put him in prison where he gets free room & board, 3 squares a day, a nice warm bed, free medical & dental & our tax dollars pay for it to the tune of thousands of dollars a year. Then later on down the road he is out & hurts how many more people & destroys how many more families. One bullet, one wooden box, & one trip to the local cremation chamber & we are all better off.
