Wonder if this can possibly happen?

Recommended Posts

Ok not so much to do with trash but as a young person remember many more deep holes because gravel was taken out and we caught many fish in these holes.

In-stream gravel mining is never good. Biggest myth in the Ozarks is "Gotta get the gravel outta those cricks". In-stream mining It just increases the erosion upstream and will refill with gravel in a short time. Streams need a big stand of trees on the bank to limit erosion and maintain their health. That is contrary to most landowner's wants, so it does not happen very often. They want a river view or more pasture...then wonder why the stream bank erodes away rapidly.
