Donna G
I didn't read through the entire thread, so sorry if this has already been recommended. When we fished Central Pro-Am back in the day and went to Truman we always stayed here https://www.unclegabbyscabins.com/. Good people running it. Cabins were clean with everything you needed. Parking was convenient in front of the cabins with outside electrical for charging your batteries. "Uncle Gabby's Cabins is just a short drive to Clinton, Warsaw, Beaches and Restaurants. We are minutes away from the various Marinas and boat ramps including Long Shoal, Truman State Park, Bucksaw, Windsor Crossing and Berry Bend. " Donna Gilzow Bella Vista, Arkansas The charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit of what is elusive but attainable, a perpetual series of occasions for hope. --John Buchan, 1915

Members retired chem teacher
Hunter, Talked to Bucksaw people on phone--seem to be good people and would have places for us mid week during April--right now looks like our "go to place" --how far do you have to run out of the marina to get into fishing? Trying to decide if we want to slip our boat there or have it so we can go to other ramps. Thanks
shaker
You don't have to run far most of the time but every year is different? Who knows what the lake and weather will be two or more months form now. I seldom run more than 10 miles and usually that is mainly to go check out a different part of the lake or go hit a favorite spot just to see what is happening. As far a trailering or not wait to see what the lake is like if high and muddy with lots of debris trailer somewhere else normal stay there? The people at the marina should be able to give you a few tips along the way?
