Fishing uphill again today.

In other words, from the bank.

Caught 23 today, 3 no doubt largemouth keepers, biggest was around 3.5.  Might have had a keeper spot or two, and maybe a keeper smallie.  Boderline fish.  Dragging 1/8 and 1/16 Neds uphill on mostly rocky bottom with some shelf rock and bluff end stuff thrown in,  Fished a couple of spots around Big M and also the bank in Viney.  Fish were a little more aggressive today, had several hit it on the drop.  Also caught many of them a bit shallower 5 - 10 FOW with some being out in the 20 foot area also.

Lots of boats out there today.  Beautiful weather.

will we be seeing qb's boat on the for sale page?  And Champ, I remember our weekly vacation to Hot Springs in June during the mid 60's.  Dad and I would fish Ouachita out of a rental boat with a 9.5 evenrude.  Beach it on a point and throw out a green crème worm on a jig weighted hook.  It had to be green.

quill, you need to be processing what you should be learning here.  any area needs to be explored with a uphill retrieve.  there are just times that is the only way to make them bite.

So true, seems all my bank fishing experience is to cast out as far as possible and work back.

Something is very appealing to fish working uphill!

Bo has a very great point, on why or how sometimes bass want the bait in a different direction.

Have been out on many occasions when they are active working bait from deep to shallow, especially on humps or points.

Great insight Bo!

Quill, nice pictures. Bank fishing and exercising the knee. You were multitasking. Sounds like good therapy.

Very Nice!

Bank fishing might be the most logical approach with the low water level & wind blowing.

I might start bank fishing those kinda banks up the white at beaver. Worth a try.

Great report Quill! I can't believe someone wouldn't offer to take you fishing, while your trailer is being repaired. I know it's a drive to cape Fair marina, but I would be happy to share my boat with you.
