The Mississippi around New Madrid fault zone going dry?

Plenty of rain up north.  Wing dikes at Chester were under water today, sticking out a few weeks ago when I crossed.

Here's another one for ya.   Right here close to home we currently have 1169cfs leaving Bagnell dam, and 1/2 mile below it the USGS guage reads 721cfs.

Are we loosing water underground .....or is the guage bad? B)   I seldom follow river guages by "CFS" for this reason.    A simple river level guage eliminates the faulty math.   What's the point of measuring river flow in cubic feet per second if the resultant readings are bogus?

Im not gonna lie, I would have done the same thing with that hitch.

I've seen this pic floating around for a couple of years now.

Why he didn't put the ball on the bumper, I don't know.

But there is no receiver on that truck so he made it work.
