The Fresh Start Thread

Recommended Posts

This is the man that sparked my passion for fishing the rivers and hunting the great lands. He instilled in me the ethics of respecting the outdoors and the conservation that must accompany it.

He also sparked my interest in grilling, smoking, and camp cooking. Yesterday was his 80th birthday. This was 6 months ago at the young age of 79 and he still floats by himself. I can only hope to achieve the same.

This is my girlfriend's 10 year old daughter. It was her first trout ever. Yeah I know not the proper way to handle trout but she got him off the hook herself and I was in the water running so I could get the photo. He lost a little slime but upon release seemed to be just fine. We took a trip to Florida this summer where she caught her first fish ever in the pond behind the condo. She caught more fish out of that pond than we caught in the bay in a whole week. From that point on she has become THE authority on fishing and is qualified to give lessons.

Prettiest girl ever!   When you croak I'm going after Pat.

Just so ya know.  :D

Billethead must be lucky. But as far as the prettiest girl, I have a different nominee.

I think the white bass fly thread has been pretty darn awesome.

I plan on chasing some with Wrench(shhhh...  he doesn't know) this spring after I get this 4cm alien cut out of my melon in 10 days.
