Cold weather to fish in

Recommended Posts

Just wondering if anybody fished the tournament today or has been out since the cold front moved in. What is the water temp? Is there any ice forming? Are the shad starting to die?

I fished Sunday. Water temp range from 42-44.

This is the longest off the water stretch for me that I can remember in maybe 10 years? I haven't been out in may 6 or 7 weeks.

I am planning to put in at Prairie Creek in the morning and run to Indian Creek. Figure the boat has been in the garage so long that I need to make a little run.

Took 21lbs on 6 fish to win last Sunday. They are catching them but not divulging where or what. I’m pretty sure an A-rig. We caught 8 keepers on finesse stuff in 20-25ft. I do know that several teams did good on a jerkbait. I caught 2 shorts on it. Just not in the right spots I guess.
