TRANSOM

Recommended Posts

Looking for advise and Pro's and Con's Big motor support !!!!!!  Have new boat at which came from dealer with swivel eze transom bar ( Bar that  goes from motor to trailer )   my old boat had a Swivel lock bracket on it from the day I got it . Question is which is recommended and best for long term. Thanks for all inputs!!!!!

Tilt/trim cylinder braces only protect the hydraulic system of the tilt/trim, they do nothing to provide support for the transom of the boat.   They are fine until you hit a bump or a pothole.  

Sturdy transom tie-downs and a brace that goes from lower unit to trailer frame are best.

Agreed. I have used one of the others but there was zero benefit in using it over the standard brace so it got tossed.
