Trolling motor in river Jon boat

I have a a xtreme river boat with a 60/40 jet. Was thinking of upgrading my trolling motor to a 24v but curious if that was going to be too much weight to run shallow.  Is anyone else running 24v trolling motors and if so are you keeping the batteries in the front hatch or move them to the back deck.  Thanks

Post up a picture please.

LOL maybe. Im just trying to figure out if adding 24v is going to kill how shallow I can run.

Mine has run in two inches of silt.  It ran in Bare gravel for about 6 feet once.

Place the batteries in the right spot and two batteries is no problem at all in how shallow you run.  Like others, I have a 1652 Blazer with a 24 volt trolling motor, batteries are under the front deck at the back edge of the deck, maybe a fourth of the way back from the front of the boat overall.  Balances the boat well and I have no trouble running shallow.
