So post on Stockton because a lot of these guys don't have a lot of money to go up and fish all the time when they hear stuff like that they like to go fish and I really want them to catch now so please don't post that again. That was kind of messed up that wasn't even really funny bass fisher

I feel there is a punch line yet to fall...   Hope so.

I have'nt even uncovered the boat yet.  I remember all the hours spent in 40ish water last spring.  Never caught anything until the mid 50's.  Soon.  Very soon.

I grew up near Lake D'Arbonne and fished it a lot.  It is near Farmerville.  There are a few options for hotel and restaurants, but not many.  Ruston is about 20 miles away, and there are lots of options there.  They draw down the lake every few years to control vegetation and give people a chance to work on their docks.  When they do that, it can shut down the fishing.  So be sure to check on that before making the trip.

Good info. Agree not many options around the lake. We rented a house on VRBO. Its nice to go to a lake thats not so commercialized. NO wakeboats, ski boats or jetski's. Just alot of good ole boys fishing ! Fished with a guide one day there and he said same thing about a fall drawdown. Planning a late summer trip to do some night fishing. Said to find a tree on the channel dropoff and to use green lights. White lights = Giant Skeeters. His words! Usually have your limits in a few hours (50 per person) !!!

Thanks for the pics and congrats.  Glad you got to go on a trip and a very good one at that.  Always fun to hear stories of other lakes fished around the country.

Where's the crappie on the lake Today
