go fish eagle rock, big m areas and see how you do.  when table rock did have a really good population of bass, even the non-skilled fisherman could go bank beating and catch some bass.  that is just not the case any longer.  lets not just talk about bass either.  table rock needs a lot of help in the crappie department also.  the kings has some, upper james, and upper long creek.  the rest of the lake is lacking.

i have fished this lake since 1963 and might have better knowledge of what the lake used to have population wise as compared to what it now has.  it definitely does have more bass than any time since the lmg virus kill, but still not what was here previous.

Did the timber/shallow cover in the upper end go first or has the whole lake aged about the same?

Thanks for the morning laughs, you guys. I needed that!

MRI is scheduled today at 12:30 to see what's going on with my back. Seeing the specialist again tomorrow. Ready to get some resolution going. This convalescent state is miserable.

Champ, hope it goes well. I’ve had 2 back surgeries. The pain getting to that point was not fun. Good luck.

Mike

Long story short ... surgery NOT suggested. Gonna try an epidural steroid injection... it’s set Monday afternoon.

Truly appreciate all of the prayers and concern. You guys are awesome.

You might also want to inquire about a nerve ablation procedure.  I've had several for my lower back and neck and they helped a ton.  In my experience, the benefit lasted about two years before the nerves grew back and then it was rinse and repeat.

It's "minimally invasive" which just means it's being done to you and not them but there's no cutting involved and I usually can do whatever I want the very next day.

However, since I've been seeing the chiropractor every six to eight weeks I've not had the ablation procedure done in over three years and, overall, am doing pretty dang good all things considered.

In fact, if I didn't work around the house and yard like a coal miner and play golf three or four times a week I might even be pain free!

Nonetheless, it's very manageable now and since my injury that's all I've ever asked or hoped for.

As I'm sure you and Donna both know there's a big difference between back "pain" and "discomfort" and I'll take the latter any day of the week.

Just another option to maybe research and consider.

Hang in there buddy and best of luck.
