Pomme month of August

Recommended Posts

Hard to say in my opinion. I heard they could get as much as 5 inches this week down there. And there is nowhere for this water to go!! Until they start releasing water out of Bagnell, and i heard they were, then start releasing water out of Truman, Pomme could be extremely high all summer and into the winter. I was down there middle of last week and it was a mess. Roads closed, camp grounds closed, some ramps closed.

If rain holds off (or at least stays average), the water could be down by them. Truman is down 4 feet, they should be able to start releasing from Pomme any time.

But unless you have a way to predict the future, don't plan on it doing so.

If it is a typical missouri summer and major rain events don't happen, mid August should see normal levels again.  But Missouri has a way of changing things.

Pomme is dropping now.  Have fallen below the record level and hopefully will continue the fall as releases ramp up.  If the precipitation will stay away the drop should be steady.
