snagged in outlet 3
Went out on the lower yesterday and today. Water temp yesterday was 44 and the river has been dropping steadily since the last rain. Left the house early and it was 26 degrees with heavy frost. When I finished ti was 46. Kind of windy but not bad at all. Did a lot of looking before I threw a bait and the third eddy was on. Nice foam whirlpool and they were stacked in it. Caught a bunch of small spots, several large crappie and lost two good smallies at the boat fiddling with the net. I hate treble hooks. Most were caught on a tube and the smallies ate a stick bait. Went back today and hoped I would whack em. NOT! the river dropped so much the whirlpool was gone and I couldn't find fish anywhere. Packed it in and went home. Boat ran great! No people out! Saw two bald eagles. top_dollar, jfrith, Haris122 and 9 others 11
Members jfrith
Yep, sounds about right. Man, that area is fickle. And not just the river but any pond/lake or trib along it. snagged in outlet 3
