oneshot 1,040
I bank fish use 2 inch Glow Sticks on end of my Rods and a light on bill of my Hat I turn on when I have a fish on. Found bugs bad with lights. Just wondering what others use? Where I fish most just build a small fire or use Coleman Lanters. I was thinking charging up a Battery running a small LED Light off it. oneshot
FishnDave 1,109
Some of the lights that go on a bill of your hat come in other colors besides white light, like green or red, that might not attract bugs as much. Have you tried those?
fishinwrench 12,584
The new battery powered LED Coleman lanterns are the greatest thing since the creation of the sun. Did a 2 night, and then a 3 night camping trip, and then used it during our last power outage. All on the same handful of D batteries. And they still aren't dead. We were at Quarry Park on the Norfork 3 years ago and it was crazy. One minute drinking a beer and the next there is a skunk under my lawn chair. Camp at Montauk or Quarry Park and you will. You probably don't stay awake long enough to see them since they are primarily nocturnal...
