Lowrance Elite 7 Ti question

Recommended Posts

I am having issues getting a nice screen shot when i use just the 2D sonar. I tried watching a video on Youtube where the guy claimed: use 83 kilowitz; Advance low; Surface clarity off; Sensitivity 2-5. Sometimes its hard to read the numbers like surface temps and/or depth. i dont get any color like yellow or red on the bottom telling me what kind of bottom there is. I am 68 years old and NOT good with technology. Wish i could show you a picture. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Downscan seems to be ok and Sidescan seems to be ok.

I am definitely no electronics or table Rock Bass fishing expert. but where are you on the lake if you are near me I am planning on doing a lot of fishing tomorrow we caught several today. And I would show you my screen or look at yours and we could see what we could figure out. I am 36 years old. If that makes a difference.

I don't know if that unit has CHIRP but 83 Khz would be a wide(r) view in normal 2D sonar. You'll get more returns but they might be further away from the boat. I think my HDS units run 2d at either 200 or 50 KHZ.

I highly suggest a hard reset of the factory settings..run on automatic and for 90 percent of the time you won't have to touch it.

Thanks boys very much. BGC i really appreciate your invite. I was coming down this weekend but the forecast kept me home. I really would like to have someone hop in my boat and give me a tutorial. I'm up the White by Big M but wouldnt mind trailering somewhere to meet you. Pretty sure this unit has Chirp DBlades. I'll try the 200 kilo or the 50. Appreciate your help. And I will try and figure out how to do a hard reset of the factory settings Fozztype. Thanks for trying to help me out.
