Travis Swift 871
A friend of mine found a big dead brown this afternoon that was 30+ pounds. Hate to see it, look at the tale on that fish. Been awhile since we've seen a really big one show up, figured I would share. Daryk Campbell Sr, snagged in outlet 3 and JestersHK 2

Root Admin Phil Lilley 5,666 Posted August 1, 2020 Root Admin Report Share Posted August 1, 2020 Can’t see the adipose fin area but it looks to be snipped. Probably a triploid. Doesn’t look like Frank.
netboy 1,609
What a shame. Hopefully it died of natural causes. I guess if someone caught it recently and then tried to release it we would have heard about it and there surely would have been pictures. Daryk Campbell Sr

fishinwrench 12,262
I went on a rant once about biologists clipping fins, and somebody, supposedly connected with MDC in some way, got on here and ripped into me big-time, claiming that nobody from MDC ever clipped fishes fins off. Does anyone, by chance, remember that?

Does anyone, by chance, remember that? I don't recall this, but the hatchery manager at sheppard told me in 05 that they had been doing a 4 year rotation of fin clips on brown trout for the past 12 years. That's how he knew at a glance that my fish was at least 12 years old. Maybe they do not consider hatchery people as MDC. snagged in outlet 3
Travis Swift 871
All I meant by look at the tail was that it was a huge tail and was thick all the way to the tail. Just a huge fish. snagged in outlet 3
