Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted April 3, 2021 Root Admin Share Posted April 3, 2021 I have a terrova tm I want to give my son in law but he doesn't have room for the third battery. So the question is - can he run it on 24v and if he does, what can he expect? Thanks
nomolites
80# and below are 24v and only require 2 batteries...is this motor a 112#? Mike
aarchdale@coresleep.com
if its a 36v and you run it on 24v it will be very hard on the motor and i wouldn't expect it to last. Low voltage will kill it fishinwrench

Dutch
Could he get creative with agms? They can be mounted most any way.
fishinwrench
The old 12/24 motors still had only 2 wires down to the armature. They switched the voltage over just ahead of the rheostat. So I guess possibly you could convert a 36 to a 24 by getting a 24v rheostat (speed switch). Not sure though. I've never tried it.
