  1. Alittle late but had to brag :)..So my oldest cooper turned 7 this week. He's been bugging me about tournament fishing for years. I always said " when you turn 7 you can go with daddy." Well the time has come we gave him 10 different things we could do. All was kids things example going to the tulsa aquatic center. The last thing was fishing the fish tales tournament out of kimberling city. We'll without hesitation he smiled and said "duh daddy we are fishing." Proud daddy moment. So we got up super early and on the way to mill creek he said "daddy I'm the hippest birthday boy in the world

Phil, Message me and I'll be happy to help. Also, if you can tell me what type of Operating System (Windows or Linux) and what database (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL) is being used. I'll either need remote access to your system, or I'll have to walk you through the changes over the phone.

    8-29-15 AM Report

Went out of PC this morning looking for bass. We never went more than a few miles from the ramp, but also never fished in PC itself. Water temp was around 80 when we started. It was nice and cloudy for the first couple hours. The bite wasn't red hot, but for not having a lot of time on the water this summer, I was pleased. I landed 7or 8 bass. A good mix between LM, SM, and Ks. My buddy got a couple too. Topwater worked until the sun came out. The best fish was caught on top. The rest of the fish came on a drop shot using a robo worm. I never caught anything "offshore" however I did catch

  5. Met my dad on Saturday and went fishing on a stretch of river close enough to Rolla, taking out the kayaks. I caught some largemouth, goggle eye, and lots of green sunnies and smallmouth. My dad was playing around with crappie in the brush, and hooked into something BIG on his ultralight. It jumped, big head shakes, and was brown- my best guess was 5lbs or so. After about 5 minutes, it wrapped him around a limb underwater and snapped the 6lb test. I couldn't believe he was able to keep it on for as long as he did, but was almost sick when he lost it. Later, I was throwing a beetle spin in a ch

    What's Cooking?

Todays meal and cooking for the week, plus smoking more peppers for winter use. Today early picked fifty chilies and thirty jalapenos. A bunch of cubanelles too. The hot peppers went into the smoker to get happy. These will be vacuum sealed in small batches for cooking this fall, winter and spring until next years garden will repeat the cycle. The Cubanelles were stuffed, covered with cheese and also put in the smoker for eating this week. I really do like to cook during the week and have a nice meal waiting for the Mrs. to arrive home to after her work day but hey I get busy too so pre co

  8. Priceless!! I took my two boys fishing with me at a very early age. My youngest just loved it. He would be fishing by the ramp as I took my boat off the water. I had to pry him away. Now, he is 19 yrs old and we go to Canada every year and fish for a week together. My favorite week of the year. Thanks for sharing your story. Brought a tear to my eye!! Nothing better than getting to fish with your son.

  11. Pretty calm up this way, considering. Caught 4 nice keepers in less than 3 hours pitching a jig, 4-8' off the outside ends of docks. All but one bit on the fall. Threw a Redeye shad around for awhile but no love on it.

Launched at Hickory around 6:30 or so. Started in Joe Creek, then to Monte and finished at Hickory while waiting for a couple of folks to unload. I caught: Diddly Piddly Squat Respectively :-)

went out this afternoon. Coose hollow wt 80.9. Started running bank with sexy shad square bill. Had a lot chase but no bits. Water clarity was about 5 ft. Switched over to jig (pumpkin with few stands of purple). I looked for grass beneath the water that ran up to drop offs. This pattern worked as it did last week. Put the trolling mother on med and cover a lot of water. Caught 3 nice large mouths and several unders. Lost a good one at the boat but that's how it goes sometimes. It was a beutiful, afternoon on the water.

    Fall Trip to TR

Yep, 3rd week of October is great for the scenery, fishing may be a tad tougher than later, but it should still be decent. Deer firearms season runs from 11/14 - 11/24, good time to fish and less pressure. Just don't wear this hat if you're on the lake during firearms season:

Good morning all. I have been trying to make a post since Monday, I couldn't get logged in and with the help with Phil he got me up and going. A BIG THANKS TO HIM!!! Me and the wife fished last Saturday and Sunday and here is our report. I haven't really done much reporting this summer cause I haven't really had any thing to post, our summer has been lacking of putting any fish in the boat, We as husband and wife fish some tournaments and haven't done very good at all in them, But last Saturday was good for the wife ( not in tournament ) we start fishing about 4:30 AM and ran back in Son's cr

Yeah, the KS pre-season counts were up and I saw a lot more birds. I saw several at a spot in Atchison County, MO early in the season too. I purposely missed because I felt sorry for them.
