That’s exactly what I said Bo . There was a big discussion on Facebook and everyone wanted to talk about what he should have done . And I’m the only one that said follow the laws of navigation . You are right and thank god no one was coming up lake following the law .Pretty sure that is exactly what got a father and son killed on table rock last fall . Hell it almost happened to me at the confluence of the big and little niangua several years ago . I even got flipped off right after the guy almost killed me lol 😂

They probably don't believe there is any water in it, and they may be right.....But it needs to be verified for sure before going any further.
No need to be cranky about it. 😅.  Pretty simple task, I suppose they'd rather be doing something more difficult?   😂
Since they are already pissed off, go ahead and have them do a siphon test on the fuel supply line.    If all the above is 100% good.....then slap a new diaphragm and gaskets in the fuel lift pump and go test it.

You’re going to be disappointed if you drive all that way and fish the least productive and most boring stretch . If I was going it would be Friday : drive down camp at beautiful Greer campground . Wade fish the river Friday’s afternoon . And possibly hike to Greer Spring . Saturday morning drive to Alton to rent Canoes . Forget the raft idea . Arrange shuttle or drop off with Huffy . Float Greer to Turner Saturday . Camp @ Greer again l. Saturday night . Then mess around Sunday before making the drive back to the LOU .

Well I fished the James 4 days last week . First two days were on Springfield Lake . Day 3 Kerr to Galena , and day 4 Delaware to Shelvin.
First two days on springfield lake were pretty tough . Found a huge group of fish in a small backwater but they were stingy . Only caught two little guys each day .
Day three we did Kerr to Galena my first time on this stretch of river and I was impressed by the bluffs and fishable water . Only had one bite that pulled loose that day . Saw several really nice walleye cruising around but they were not interested in the JerkBait .
Day 4 was Delaware to Shelvin and I finally got on some fish . This was early this week and I’m sure the water had warmed substantially. The water color was off compared to lower on the river but I believed that helped the fishing . First spot I got into them and caught 4 on 4 cast biggest being a 15 inch Smallie . Every spot the river got right I would catch them . Hooked into an absolute beauty a little further down . Finished the day with 14 fish with a nice spotted bass and 2 smallmouth over 15 inches .

I looked at the gauges this morning they are definitely shooting up , although I wouldn’t call it a blow out yet ... but we will see when it all hits the river in the next day . I finally figured them out and now it’s all going to change

Kerr to Galena was flowing around 900 cfs definitely no dragging down there . Delaware to Shelvin was fine . I had to walk my boat through the rapid with the big tree on the island . And another spot where it splits I had to walk . Probably could have floated through either of them if you know the line . I just didn’t want to dump in that cold water by myself
