I launched at 9:45 to clear skies and no wind. I thought it was going to be a slow day and it was. Water temp was 40.1. I started with some bottom junk that didn't work. So I went to a jerker and caught 2 shorts and 1 keeper. The keeper went 2.10lbs. The keeper had a lot of black on her, it was a beautiful fish!!! I took out at 3:30. Short report because of the lack of action. Here is the 1 keeper. The other side of this fish had way more black on it. This post has been promoted to an article

I must have misunderstood what you intended.

I am going to struggle with catching a single keeper regardless of the species - so I am in favor of keeping it simple and the same format as in the past.

I put in at 8:20am to a water temp of 49.2. I went up river a little and started with a jerker and never put it down. I didn't even try anything else. I fished mostly points and bluffs/ends with good numbers and good mix between spots and big mouths. I had about 30 fish total - not counting the 8 or 10 that I didn't get into the boat, but only had one 16" keeper and a 18.5" keeper walleye (no picture - gave it to a guy crappie fishing). I went up Flat creek a little with the same results, shorts and lots of them. Water temp up Flat was 47.2. There was a pretty good breeze - so I think that helped some. Off the water at 3:15 and very pleased with the number of fish, the bigger ones will be making their way soon I hope. This post has been promoted to an article
