  1. A friend of mine bought these about 20 years ago (he thinks Cabelas)and would like a few more but can't identify them ( and I have no idea). He said they are a walleye lure.
  2. That's awesome. I need to fish that place more often- once every 3 years isn't enough.
  3. The picture doesn't do it any justice - but its a 1/2oz made by Lunker Lure. Love them.
  4. I put in at 7:20 and fished a straight worm for a couple hours and had a couple shorts, and a couple swing and misses. It was pretty slow with the worm. I started throwing some cranks, spinnerbaits and squarebill with not much luck at all. I went to the very back of a 50 yard cut with a black Buzzbait with a gold blade and when I pulled it over the top of a log in the far back something took a swipe at it but stopped just short of hitting it. That got me excited because it seemed big. For some reason she pulled away from it. I changed to a black on black Buzzbait and did much better. I caught about 12 on it with 2 good keepers, and they really wanted it. The big one was 3.14 and the other was 3.5 on my scale. It sure was good to get out again and set the hook, it has been way too long. Water temp was 55.7 and I pulled out right at noon.
  5. I live for it!!!

  7. I didn't realize people were allowed to put out piles.... I knew the core did it on occasions. Interesting.
  8. That's fantastic!!!
  9. Well done. Fishing is definitely slow right now. Glad to see you get some.
  10. Where exactly are they not in Flat creek? Lol just kidding.
  11. Ya, that sounds like a ruff weekend for sure., but it sure beats the heck out of my weekend of NOT FISHING. Thanks for the report, and I hope it gets better out there soon for all of us!
  12. The best RTV silicone saver for me is duct tape. Put it on fold it over and tape around it. Lasts a long time.
  13. Marine Repair in Springfield is good.
  14. Thanks for the report. What part of the lake did you fish? Do you know what the water temp was? I haven't been out for 3 or 4 weeks.
  15. That's pretty dang nice of ya Champ!!
  16. Nicely done Quillback. I had a buddy fish that area on Sunday and boated 2 dinks for the whole day.
  17. I don't fish that area all that much, but looking at the forecast and knowing what cooler weather usually brings this time of year I would suggest a few baits. I like a 1/4oz spinnerbait with the skirt trimmed up some. A shallow squarebill Crankbait and my favorite thing - a buzzbait. A jig is always a must and I throw a straight worm a lot. Fish should be moving shallower, not sure they will be in the back of coves yet or not. Like rsp said - keep reading the reports and I suggest watching Eric Pray and Pete Weners video reports, good information with every report.
  18. Well done Bo.
  19. I will have to give them a try.
  20. I do like the Lunker Lure, but I do use others as well. I am very interested in taking you up on your fishing offer. The next few weeks are hectic for me, but will pm you later!!
  21. I was wasting a little time tonight setting up a couple buzzbaits and thought that I would share what I do. I hope it helps someone set up theirs or have someone share their tips to help me. To me - the most important part of a buzzbait is the squeak or chirp that it produces, and the louder the better, as it churns up the water. The rivet that holds the blade on is rounded, so I flatten it out to the blade with some needle nose pliers. With it flat against the blade there is more surface area to rub together. You can see it flat in the top picrure if you zoom in. The second picture shows how the rivet is rounded from the factory. I crimp the rivet to the arm so it does not spin with the blade. The blade rubs against the rivet and makes more noise. My neighbor told me to do that. It seems to help. I then put one drop of Clorox bleach between the blade and the rivet to help speed up the corrosion process. I read in some artical that it helps increase the volume of the squeak. I don't know if it does or not, but I do it. If you have any thoughts or different methods to preparing buzzbaits - please post them.
  22. How much do your electronics play into the way you find them?
