  1. Started at Virgin Bluff and I went up the James past point 15 about 1.5 miles but the buzzbait fish came down river from point 15. Jig fish came up from 15.
  2. I got out this morning about 2 hours before sun up and was pretty disappointed in my results the first 2 hours. Skunked. I threw a jig and a black spinner. Water temp 79. When the sun got up just enough to see the bushes I threw a Buzzbait and did real well number wise. I probably had close to 30 with 2 keeps that were 16 to 17 inches long. Also had a couple good blowups with no hookups. By 9:00 I was throwing a jig again and caught around 12 more on it - but no keepers on it. Lost 2 keepers at the boat on the Buzzbait. Off the water at 10:45. Stupid people started showing up in groves. Came across these 2 little raccoons that were too hungry to care that I was around. Sure were cute little boogers. Never saw momma coon. You never know what your going to see out here, maybe that's why I love it so much!!!
  3. Nice work Quillback. 👍
  4. Why do you shop at those stores? I have met you once and you weren't big or all. Lol!!!! 😂😀
  5. Well done!!
  6. Sounds like they are heading out deep - but there are always some fish shallow. Jig and Ned rig in 12 to 20 feet of water on gravel points/ roll offs and rocky banks is where I would start. I am sure someone from that part of the lake will help out soon. I am more of a James river guy so I might be telling you completely wrong.
  7. Black with a blue triailer. My fav.
  8. Thanks for the reports and drive safely home. Yep, going to be busy for sure. Looked like this down 65 from Springfield at 5:30 Friday.
  9. Not sure how you filmed and edited all that but it was fantastic!!! Nicely done!!!
  10. Man I have a lot to learn when it comes to fishing and all the small things that add up to the big things. Thanks Bo!! I really enjoy reading this kind of information.
  11. Are there hookup issues with the loose head? Or keeping them hooked up with this design?
  12. I threw a Buzzbait with zero luck, but I was in the James - not in the fish packed, snake gaurded area you frequent.
  13. Great info. Thanks!!
  14. Thanks for the report. Was the water temp still under 80? I thought the spawning time was over. Very interesting.
  15. Is the fishing good or bad at LOZ compared to Table Rock? I have never been there.
  16. Definitely a rattler. Wow that's huge.
  17. Here is another view.
  18. I got to the launch at 5:20am and was casting by 5:25. I tried the top water again with zero luck. I caught a couple ripping a deep little n down the banks but it was slow. I busted out the ned and didnt put it down the rest of the day. I only had 2 keepers again, and they barely made it. I had about 25 or 30 total but most were dinks - like 8 to 11 inches. Gravel points and I found several in one little cut next to a drop off point - if that makes sense. Water temp was 78 to 79. Here are the 2 keepers with a smile for Vernon😉 and a couple special pictures!! Is this thing just a water snake or is it poisonous? I don't know my snakes very well. He thought about trying to get a ride with me - but I didn't oblige.
  19. Thanks Bo. I definitely need to try that night fishing soon.
  20. Nice. Love the life jacket on the little guys too!! Thanks for the report.
  21. That's fantastic. Thanks for the report.
  22. Launched at 5:30am and it felt great to get back on the water!! It seems like two months have passed since I have fished. Water at splash time was 76.0. I started with a top water with nothing. Threw several different lures and a Red Eye Shad was the best for me, and if you didn't kill it every 5 cranks or so you were not getting bit. Fished until 10:00 And then had to start working on the house again. Caught only 2 keepers with about 12 shorts. Pretty slow day but it was awesome to get back on the water!!!! Largest was about 2.5lbs if you don't count a gar that I caught that was about 3 feet long. I really thought I had something special - Nope. The shad were flipping like crazy along the trash by the bank, that's were I had my best luck too. They must be spawning. Water was good color and pretty free of debri.
  23. Big mouth bass.... I laugh everytime I hear that.
  24. It's in pretty good shape. Fishing and running should be fine.
  25. What would the cost of a stocking program of bass in a lake like Table Rock be? I have no idea how many fish would be appropriate for a stocking program. Any ideas/guesses?
