  1. Just dropping everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. Stay safe and God bless!
  2. That DLN is NOT a fish catcher, so nobody should ever throw it. Thanks for the report Quillback. And I am serious about not throwing that DLN....
  3. Thanks for the report!! Are you still fishing up the James?
  4. Nice deer. Was yours and your brothers a archery kill?(no orange on, but might have just took it off). Nebraska has some great deer. I lived in southern Nebraska and archery hunted the Republican River for years and killed A LOT of nice deer (2 Pope and Young). Sold all my archery stuff and went all in with the fishing stuff when I moved to southern Missouri. Anyway - if you have any extra pepper sticks or jerky you want to share PM me right away!!! Haha. Nice job!!!!
  5. Nice report Quillback. Glad to hear you spanked some today. I hope that means they are breaking up some.
  6. Hahaha.
  7. Thanks for the report Quillback. I have a buddy that went to the James yesterday and he said it was terrible for him. Not sure what's going on but sure hope it changes quick.
  8. I put in about 20 minutes before sun up with a massive fog cloud that didn't burn off until 9 or 9:30 or so. I caught 2 keepers and missed a huge blowup on a buzzbait (dang it). The first keeper was 2.5lbs and the other was 4.1lbs. Lots of fun. I caught around 15 total and got off the water at 11:45 or so. I caught the bigger fish on a KVD 1.5 and the other on a buzzbait. Most of the shorts came on a shaky head. Water temp was 67.5. And air temperature was 44 or so at first light. Still lots of boats today, I know there was a highschool tournament today.
  9. Yep. Any time you can spend on the Rock is a great day. Good luck and I will be looking forward to a fishing report!! Stay safe.
  10. Yep, a small tournament out of Cape Fair and FLW guys all over prefishing for next week from what I understand. I talked to 2 different trucks that launched in front of my house - both from California.
  11. I launched at sun up. I had to wait on a couple FLW boats to launch first - which told me that the lake was going to be busy. It was. I caught 8 - 10 total with only 1 keeper kentucky. I lost another keeper right at the boat on a trap. I caught 2 largemouth that had sores all over them. Pic attached. What is that stuff? The keeper was on a buzzbait and the shorts were on a rattle trap, straight worm and a Wiggle Wart. Water temp was 68.6 at launch and 70.4 when I got out. I covered all kinds of water from bluffs, bluff ends, gravel runout, chunky rock, you name it and I had a lure on it. I also seen a squirrel swimming across the lake of about 300 yards wide. He found an old stump that he clung too to catch his breath and then off he went again to the bank. Looked like good Musky food. lol. Although I wouldn't call today a total loss it was very slow...... however, I WILL BE BACK!!!!!
  12. That's fantastic!!!
  13. I guess that makes 2 of us Quillback. I never have caught one eother.
  14. I hope this works - some coaches are just great!!! I wish more people would take the time to lead our youth down the right path. https://youtu.be/AWRJvl2TkNk
  15. That's why I stay away from that area.
  16. Very nice Quillback. Glad to hear that you found them - and that Champs mink didn't catch up to you!!
  17. Well, I don't know what to say..... 7 or 8 shorts in 6 hours. I tried everything that I could do to get more bites but it didn't work. Water temp was 72.4 this morning. Launched at 6:25 this morning and pulled out at 11:45. I had a dark brown weasel or ferret??? literally jump off the bank and try to chase down my buzzbait. He was gaining on it and I had to jerk the buzzbait out of the water and when I did that - he noticed the boat and dove under the water and I never seen him again. That was pretty cool to see!!! I also noticed a couple Bald Eagle which is always exciting to see for me.
  18. I launched at 6:15 with a real heavy fog so I didn't even start my motor until it lifted -- and I don't even know when that was and I only stayed for about 1 or 1.5 hours after the fog lifted. I had 2 keepers and about 14 shorties all day. Both keepers where about 2 or 2.5 lbs and I caught both on a 5" sticko in about 20 foot of water on a bluff. I threw spinnerbaits, buzzbaits, crankbaits, jigs, and the sticko with the sticko being the best by far. Water temp ranged from 73.4 up to 75.3. I fished long gravel points, chunky rock, bluffs and the rock slides on the bluffs. Here is one of the keepers and my co-captin.
  19. Legend has it that this happened from the golf course with a wake boarder between him and the mud puddle.
  20. Nice job Champ! What was the water temp?
  21. Bo, do you fish at night in the middle of winter?
  22. Bo, I appreciate your reports. Lots of great information you put out there for us. Thanks.
  23. Ya, be careful out there!!!
  24. I wish I had a better report for you all, but it was tuff for me today. I caught 10 or 12 fish with none of them being keepers!!!! The shorts I did catch were just one or two on about everything that I got wet. I tried a bunch of different things - even things I don't like throwing and nothing helped. Launched at 6:00 sharp and water was 81.5 with good color. Thought I was going to do well - but I didn't. So I decided to come home and watch college football the rest of the day. Even though fishing was tuff - I love it and will be back next weekend!!! GO HUSKERS!!!!!!!
