  1. Welcome back. Good to read your report again.
  2. That's a big fish - and leg???
  3. Donna - any love on the black water chopper today?
  4. I would definitely sign up. And if you do this weekly, may the weekly temp change included - with a +2 to indicate overall increase of 2 degrees. Just a thought.
  5. YouTube that for us........
  6. Thanks Quillback for the report. Love to read about any buzzbait fishing report, that's my kind of fishing!!
  7. Thanks for the report. Any size to the keepers? Good luck at the tournament.
  8. I fish the "back waters" of the James a lot and every year in a certain "hole" I can catch the heck out of Smallmouth - it lasts about 3 weeks. Same time of year - late October into the first of November and it's over till the next year. My question to the people that know and understand Smallmouth and their movements - are these Smallmouths moving out to the lake or up into the river?
  9. Works for me.
  10. Thanks BilletHead. It is some nasty looking stuff for sure.
  11. What the heck is this stuff? My wife and I walked around the lake banks today and came across this "stuff". It is like jelly and real nasty looking. Never seen anything like it at the lake.
  12. Dang, that's not good at all. Sorry you had to cut your trip short but maybe you can get back out there. ERs are not known for super speedy service, at least in my experience. Post another report if you make it back out please.
  13. Fishinwrench is a great source of knowledge - if you are mechanical and have some time, he might help walk you through it. He has helped me on changing impellers and electrical problems on several seperate occasions. Thanks again for that wrench!!
  14. Wow - that is very generous of you!!
  15. Not shallow. Several shad balls in 25 - 35 feet. I went up the James on Saturday - clear up by Galena - and saw a bunch of shad on the flats.
  16. Launched at 6:00am this morning by Cape Fair. Like always - I started with a black buzzbait with a gold blade. Only had 1 keeper on that with about 5 shorties. Shelf rock was the best location for me today. I threw some cranks, shakey heads and jigs with only 1 more keeper and another 5 or so shorties. I went down the lake this time and ended up down by point 12. Water temp was 80 - 81 with about 3 - 4 feet visability. Here is the largest of the 2 keepers. I love fishing!!!!
  17. Thats an interesting thought. Makes me wonder how long it would take to drain a lake like T.R. if the dam did ever give way.
  18. I am needing a good pair of winter footwear for this winter season (I fish all winter). I had a very nice pair of Irish Setters that I (actually my son) wore out. I had them for about 8 years. I liked the waterproof and warmth but they were big and bulky and camouflage. They wouldn't let you bend your ankles much, very cumbersome. I am looking for something that is just over ankle high and waterproof and warm. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
  19. I have never fished a tourney (other than the BEST one EVER - Ozark Angler this spring) so I dont have a lot to say but I am sure there are other methods of tracking actual weights caught and releasing the fish fast with minimal harm. I also hope it happens soon. You guys are smart - you can come up with great ideas. You are going to get your "cheaters" in any event. They hold drug tests from the Olympics for like 20 years and check them yearly, and catch "cheaters" every year. The NFL, MLB and even NASCAR have cheaters every year. Like one of the other posts said - you just have to deal out harsh punishment when a cheater is caught.
  20. Those 19 inch smallness are a ton of fun. Thanks for the report.
  21. Wow. That's incredible. I didn't realize we had them in Bull Shoals. Thanks for the information.
  22. Thanks for the report Quillback. I looked on OA this morning a few times and it was pretty dead on here. Hopefully the reports will come in this weekend. What was the water temp?
  23. Stocked I assume?
  24. Thanks Abs - I hear a lot of people from around here (table rock area) call the sunfish and bluegill "Perch" all the time. Whats up with that? Perch are completely different from the above pics and I am talking about experienced angles. Or am I missing something?
