  1. Nice fish - nice to see the spinner bait catching a few. It looks like you are about to get your trolling motor stuck in the rocks of the first picture. 😂😂 If I can’t touch the bank with my rod tip - I am too far off shore!!
  2. I haven’t been beyond Virgin Bluff but there is ice on the bend of Virgin Bluff as of yesterday morning.
  3. I know jerk bait is catching some. I had best luck on bluff walls and channel swings.
  4. Yep - count me in unless I have to work.
  5. What part of the lake were you on? water temp?
  6. I sure would think that just about anyone would be able to change some batteries without causing a mess - but I guess I am out of place for thinking so.
  7. Customer service is not the same anywhere as it used to be. Attitudes with most people that deal with customers are not as pleasant anymore ( they don’t give a rip about anything attitude). The grease mark on your carpet is another sign of current customer service in most places. Anyway - I hope your recovery goes well!!
  8. I have fished the James several times - it’s been pretty steady for me. Catching 12 - 20 fish each outing with 3 to 6 keepers each time out. Big was 4.94 on a jerk bait this month. Starting to catch more on a rock crawler as of last Sunday - had a couple that were at the 3lb mark on it. Catching a few on top and a few on bottom and everywhere in between right now.
  9. Not as late as Sunday night.
  10. Down the lake - almost to Cape Fair.
  11. It was a kids deal with the guy that started Lews back up (forgot his name - Reeves maybe). His dock is at Anglers Bend (owns the place across from Pete Wenners place) he has a bunch of pros come and take the kids out and spend time with them. I talked to him a couple weeks ago and he had 2 kids camps 2 weeks in a row - this was the 2nd week for it. Real nice guy.
  12. Great day!!! Thanks for the report!! The little man looks like he had a blast!!! Love to see the kids out on the water.
  13. Wow - that’s a winner!!
  14. I was pretty excited about tomorrow - and seeing everyone again. magicwormman and I are still meeting up at his dock to enjoy the day fishing. Hope to see you all sooner than later.
  15. Nope - need to go down lake, a long way too!! No fish in the dirty debris filled James river from Cape Fair up. 😎
  16. Standing on the courtesy dock at my place - 2 foot vis right now.
  17. Sound like a better day than working. Thanks for the report.
  18. Stick to the bluffs because everything else was covered up.😄
  19. No 4 pounder for me today (like Dutch landed - nice job again Dutch). I put in at 7:15 and was drying the boat at 10:30. I caught a few on several different baits but the jerk bait was the best. Ended with 2 keepers is all and they were just line touches - had around 10 shorts also. I caught most on bluff walls. I tried transitions, gravel points, 45* rock banks, 2nd points in coves, but the bluffs treated me the best. I never turned on the graph so not sure what the water temp was - but everyone is saying around 61. Thanks for reading.
  20. That’s a fantastic find. What are you going to do with it?
  21. Not that exact spot - about 100 yards shy of it I would say.
  22. That’s a good place to catch a 4 pounder. Well done Dutch!!
  23. Wowzers!!! Fantastic catch!!!
  24. I live up from Cape a little and it is muddy - debris is bad - but people are running and fishing so it is manageable I guess. I am not putting in - too risky for me.
  25. The James is muddy - chocolate milk muddy with floaters all over - but I have seen 6 or 7 boats out. They are going slow but still on plane.
