  1. Launched at 6:00 am this morning. Water temp was 62. It was a bit tuffer today than last week. Caught 24 with only 4 keeper size . Again, black and blue jig, caught some on a 2.5 square bill, and a sticko worm. All LM found on gravel ledges and flatter gravel points. Boy it was busy up the James today. At one point I counted 16 boats in about a 3/4 mile stretch. Most were Spoonbilling and Crappie fishing and they were hooking the Spoonbills. I saw pontoons with 6 people on it with a Spoonbill for each person on the boat. I bet there was no less than 40 boats in a 3 mile run.
  2. Nice job Ketchup. How is figuring out Taneycomo going? Are you having any luck finding them?
  3. Thanks for the report. I am going to try my hand at night fishing this year.
  4. Nice report. Good to hear we have crappie in TR. I envy you being able to spend quality time with your father out on the lake making memories. Cherish the time because it goes way to fast.
  5. Very nice Quillback. I was working all day dreaming of what you were able to do. Thanks for the report.
  6. Thanks Ketchup - 2 little shorts on the spinnerbait - they just didn't want it.
  7. Most were right on the bank. Flatter than 45 degree banks with larger chunk rock and halfway back in coves. Deepest fish came out of like 8 feet of water. Didn't get bit more than 10 feet from the bank.
  8. Launched at 6:00 am this morning. Water temp was 59 and the warmest water I found was 62.7 in the back of coves. Caught 41 fish total - most were 12" or so and had 7 keepers. All the keepers were 15.5 - 17" so nothing very big. Caught most of the fish before 10:30 am on a black and blue jig and a 4" worm on a rocker head. Caught a couple on a spinnerbait and a couple on a Wiggle Wart. Sorry no pics today. Forgot my phone at the house.
  9. They help for sure. Fish have a great sense of smell.
  10. Great points you make. Thanks for the report. I see how you stay up as late as you do night fishing...... there's Mountain Dew all over in that boat.
  11. Michigan and Ohio State are on the other side of the Big10. Nebraska just needs to beat the likes of Minnesota and Wisconsin to play for a title.
  12. After Frank was let go (with like a 9-3 record, dumb move) Bill Callahan stepped in and killed the program. Bo got them winning again, but the alum hated him because he would not bow down to them. Bo was a competetive guy that wore his emotions on his shirt sleeve and took it out on some of the players. Parents and the alum didnt like it. I belive the Huskers will be playing for the BIG 10 title within the next 3 years. Go Huskers!!!
  13. Go Huskers.
  14. Its a Largemouth.
  15. M&M - Yes I was.
  16. The biggest bass I landed came from Taneycomo. 9.3lbs in 2014.
  17. With the extra boats on Table Rock, and me not fishing the BIG BASS, I thought I would try something different and stay out of the way of the tournament guys/gals today. I went to Taneycomo to Bass fish today. I had 3 bites and caught 2 keepers. 1 smallmouth that went 3.7lbs and a Largemouth that went 2.13lbs. Mr. Busy Beaver was out and about along with 2 Bald Eagles. Fishing was great, catching was slow. Launched at Rockaway Beach at 6:50 and loaded at 12:30.
  18. Got one.
  19. Nice report m&m. Sounds like you son in law is figuring it out and has the magic touch.
  20. Thanks for the report. Did you chuck around the A-rig at all?
  21. Great day. Thanks for the report
  22. Sounds like a good day. Thanks for the report.
  23. Does anyone know how many boats/fisherman/fisherladies there were total? I thought it was a great turnout. I think more that the group photo represents.
  24. It was a very good time! Glad that I could make it and meet all the great people that contribute to OA. It is nice to put a face with a Internet name. Can't wait until next year!!!
  25. Not sure what it weighs It's not going to be to impressive on a scale. Maybe 2 or 2.5 is all if I am lucky.
